Inspired by Nekko randomly watching Kevin Smith movies on Youtube today, some folks in the chatroom started talking about watching and commenting on Clerks, MST3K style, but it didn't actually happen. Later on, Nekko asked if he should watch Mallrats or Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back next, and MOGHARR asked if we were gonna do the MST3K commenting. Mallrats wasn't up on youtube, however. I mentioned that if Jay & Silent Bob was up, I'd be up for the MST3K gig, Nekko agreed, and Lem signed on as well. We asked Moggy if he wanted in, but he opted out of it. The entire movie was up on Youtube, in 11 parts. It was a bit torturous, but we got through it, and decided that we're gonna do it again. Possibly next Friday (possibly every Friday, actually), we'll be reviewing another movie in the same fashion, and anyone who would like to join us is welcome. Now, for the part you all came for... the log of our comments. If you want the full MST3K effect, you can find the version we viewed on Youtube still and run it at the same time you read, but that may be ill advised, given the movie we chose to start off with...
Edit: Removed the log and tossed it on the MSLT3K Sydapedia page.

That was one of my best and worst ideas ever.
Still, we're doing this shit again for sure. As Fernin said, next friday in the very late afternoon... Or, if I pull an all-nighter, evening. I don't know. Come round to the chat at about 17 EST (GMT -5, if memory serves) - we'll probably be talking about the movies already.

There's a good change I'll have a new job by then, so my chat appearances will be lower. I'll probably jump in at some point.

So, we're finishing up Where The Buffalo Roam as I write... It was a very good movie and I am truly and terribly sorry, Lem, that we didn't tell ya. It was kind of an instant idea to do another MSLT3K.
Still, it was entertaining... Comments about the movie will be posted later.

The log of Where the Buffalo Roam is now up on the MSLT3K Sydapedia page. As Nekko said, this one was also spur of the moment, and another one could happen at any time. We have a good time making them, and anyone who wants to join us is free to come into the chatroom, at any time, and say, Hey, we should watch this movie! You can probably find at least one other person willing to join you.
I'm curious to know, though, what do the rest of you guys think of these?

I might be interested in doing one of these sometime. I don't know if I'd want to be in front of the computer that long though. I could always give you some recommendations though!

Okay, so we've kinda decided that the next movie will be Tim Burton's Ed Wood, starring Johnny Depp.
Come to the chat in any afternoon if you're interested. The more the merrier.

There are requirements, you know. The whole movie has to be on Youtube.

Proof that an MSLT3K can happen at absolutely any time, Lem suggested we watch a movie at around 12:45 AM EST. It almost didn't happen, as all the other folks in the room were idle at the time, but Dignant returned shortly afterwards. We decided on the classic Marx Brothers film, A Night at the Opera. The log can be found here.

And proof that a MSLT3K can happen basically with anything, we did the first episode of the anime series "Trigun." As always, it was fun.
Here's the log.

We're doing a special MSLT3K tonight, a double feature. We're gonna be watching both the original and new versions of The Producers. As usual, just hop into #sydlexia if you want to join us. We might be starting around an hour from now, or it might be a little later than that, not really 100% sure yet... We're also not 100% sure if we'll watch old, then new, or new, then old, so if you have any preference for that, let us know!

Slight adjustment to the plan, apparently NBC Universal has people searching Youtube for their material round the clock. I uploaded the new version of The Producers just this morning... and when we went to start watching it not too long ago, it was already gone. However, the old version seems to be working fine (for now), so we'll be starting that shortly.

So we plan to watch the godfather next.
Fern has all of the files ready to be uploaded, and to avoid it getting deleted before we can watch it we need to set a date
So start planning people

The Godfather is 3 hours long.
I got to the 1:30 mark before I couldn't stay awake and had to go to bed.

Never watched it myself. I always seem to miss it when it comes on TV.

I'm in for this too.
Ideally since its so long, a Saturday evening would be best for me. Sunday maybe, too. No particular preference on the exact date.

I've seen it 3 or 4 times, which was 2 or 3 times too many.
