apparently yesterday was world water day or some crap
Quote:
The Story of Bottled Water, released on March 22, 2010 (World Water Day) employs the Story of Stuff style to tell the story of manufactured demand—how you get Americans to buy more than half a billion bottles of water every week when it already flows from the tap.

Over five minutes, the film explores the bottled water industrys attacks on tap water and its use of seductive, environmental-themed advertising to cover up the mountains of plastic waste it produces. The film concludes with a call to take back the tap, not only by making a personal commitment to avoid bottled water, but by supporting investments in clean, available tap water for all.

Our production partners on the bottled water film include five leading sustainability groups: Corporate Accountability International, Environmental Working Group, Food & Water Watch, Pacific Institute, and Polaris Institute.

Maybe you should replace it. They're only good for so long before you have to replace the filters (if you don't they actually become bacterial magnets).

Actually it is a new one, we got it like 2 weeks ago. The water here just sucks.

Boil It, then strain it through a micro-filter. Then fridge it.

Should be much better.

How do you get 3000 words out of analyzing water?

It's clear. Analysis over.

I live in a shit town where the water is cloudy all the time, so I almost exclusively drink bottled water.

It's really sad though, since I grew up in Des Moines, which is about an hour from here, and it has some of the best water in the country.

Haha i wish that where true.
Had to choose a river, choose a sampling strategy, collect samples along the river and then test the water quality. Measure pH, conductivity, temperature, pollutant content - heavy metals etc and filter it and measure sediment content.

AND THEN write up the results, use statistics and shit. My god i wanted to die at the end.

Some people brought water in to be tested that was yellow... and it's not what your thinking it is.

I've been to Florida and they used that recycled water stuff.

Sucks man. I remember hearing tales as a kid about alligators and such in the Florida drinking water. Very Happy
