http://content.usatoday.com/communities/onpolitics/post/2010/03/rep-neugebauer-says-he-shouted-baby-killer-during-health-debate/1

Since when did it become common place for these old white men who have been silent for years to start shouting out in public places like a deranged lunatic? It's only a matter of time until we here this while a conservative Republican is trying to pass a bill:

I'd say it was about when that other republican shouted Obama was a liar during his speech.

Eh... They found out that the British Parlament was having all the fun. They scream, yell, and get into fist fights, while Americans just sit and play Solitare.

I've mentioned it in my blog before, but this is a turn for the better, honestly. Is it disrespectful? Yes. Is it inappropriate? Probably. However, Congress NEEDS to be more like Parliament. It's about time these people were passionate about ANYTHING besides reelection.

There are few things I love more than meetings of lawmakers devolving into all-out brawls. Why do those things always seem to happen in Asian countries, though?

Well for the good of the GOP I hope we get some more wingnuts in the meetings to balance things out.

I'm good with it, as long as the dude truly believed what he was saying. It reminds me of shows I have seen on late night TV, showing other countries Congress meetings where they all break out into a fight and start throwing chairs at each other. That is exactly what we need here, when those people told the voters on the campaign that they would go to Capital Hill and fight for them, they fucking meant it.

I hate to say it, but while I shake my head at the incident, you're absolutely right. It's nice to see ACTUAL people, despite how childish it may have been.

This Cracked article seems relevant:

There's definitely room in US politics for some good old fashioned karate kicks and flying chairs.

I understand where you are coming from, but they need to tone it down a bit. Screaming YOU LIE! and BABY KILLER! just makes you look ignorant and well, lost. Especially since the whole Baby Killer comment is a lie, seeing as how the legislation does not directly allow for federal subsidies to fund abortion procedures. Why not just yell out what you really feel like "I got paid by Insurance Lobbyists to STOP THIS BILL!" It would at least make sense. Imagine if during President Bush's speech Jim Webb yelled "Warmongering Draft Dodging PUSSY!". However true it may have been, it would still make Sen. Webb look like a whiny little bitch. I have no patience for whiny little bitches, especially those who seek only to rile up the nation into a tea bagging frenzy using scare tactics and nonsense. I like the passion, but ignorant passion is lost on me.

Honestly, this statement sounds as whiny and ignorant as anything you're railing against. The term "tea bagging frenzy" immediately puts your credibility at 0.

I hate it when people throw the term "baby killer" around like this. It's disrepectful to the real baby killers, our Vietnamese veterans.

Maybe if Linda McMahan gets elected, she can bring some much needed action to the Senate.

"I propose a motion for the Democratic Representitive from Washington to receive a Pedigree from my Son-In-Law."

"For???"

*122 hands raise*

"Against?"

*1 hand raises*

I have a Vietnam vet living in my neighborhood who I yell this at whenever I see him just so he can feel young again. I hope somebody does something like this for me when I'm 70.

Lol, Jeebus you are really reaching there with that statement, you are regular political wizard. As far as this conversation is concerned the GOP just happens to be the guilty party and although you are a staunch Republican in love with all things elephant try looking past the picket signs with the word Czar written on it. My statement takes away no credibility from me because I call it out for what it is, besides, you are not in charge of credit Citibank is and I have plenty.

False. There are a lot of good Republicans out there such as Ron Paul and former Rep. Jim Webb who are actually out there representing what the GOP should be, or used to be in my opinion. Then there is this new breed that has caused me to switch my voter card to Independent. These Republicans (Palin, Bush & Co.) use scare tactics to drum up fear in less educated Americans, period. Nancy Pelosi, who I hate as much as them, is an example of the other side of crazy on the side of the Dems using fear to write up watered down bills and then not pass them. Common sense is not a common virtue in politics, that is why I choose Independent as my status. This way I can vote for moderate candidates who actually run on solid programs and ideas not gimmicks or the latest fear sweeping the 24 hour news networks.

I'd say Harry Reid, Pelosi and Obama are on the same level of stupid as someone like Palin, whom I don't like either. The problem with these Democrats is how stubborn they are to get a bill passed, despite the fact that most of the country is against it. Now while you can argue that the war going on now is something that shouldn't happen, the majority of America wanted to take action after 9/11, so I can't really blame the Administration there, even with Iraq.

And honestly...do you really need to keep calling Bush a draft dodger and all that? I mean I'm not a fan of the guy, but I do take offense when whoever the politician is, gets ridiculed for their military experience, or lack of. Again, this was like 30 years ago, I don't believe in this idea that 30 years later, it's the same approach, people change.

What are people going to do if the US can go 40 years without a war? Who would they vote for?

Presidential Election 2050:

Canidate A - Doesn't have any military background.

Canidate B - Was in the Army, but didn't do anything other than drills.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE?!!

Last time I checked, Ron Paul isn't a Republican and I have never been one. Just because I disagree with you, Ash, doesn't mean I'm a talking head. However, you seem completely unwilling to listen to reason.
