Been considering starting a blog to post reviews, ramblings, vids and such. Can anyone recommend a good blog site? The only one I'm aware of specifically is livejournal, and, although it could work, I figured there might be better options out there. Thoughts?

I suggest WordPress, it is what I'm using on my site. You can get a free blog on their site:

Thanks for the wordpress recommendation, I really like their interface. Nothing fancy, but I don't have the time or content to care about fancy yet. This is just about perfect. Thanks Ice.

the problem about blogs is that you spend time writing great articles that are massively entertaining only to have like 0 comments on it. It makes you feel like your time has been in vain. Who the heck wants to register and then log in to comment when you know you might not be back to that site again and you will be getting spam from it from then on. Even if something is great and deserves praise I still am a lazy bastard when it comes to this.
if this aspect doesn't bother you, please blog

Indeed, and thanks for the encouragement. I think I have the technical part figured out pretty solidly, now it just remains to see if...my commentary totally and completely sucks ass. Which is entirely a possibility. I'll probably do a sample 10 minute run through the first level of Zelda this weekend, so I can run it up and see who salutes. Here's hoping my voice doesn't sound as shitty to everyone else as it does to me.

It might, but just do it! I used to do shitty audiocasts(I hate the term podcast) back in 2005. I still have them on a backup disc somewhere. Your voice can't be as bad as mine.

Never read a blog before, however yours seems like it has potential. I really look forward to reading future installments!

Well its been forever since I actually mentioned I updated my blog to anyone, so here you go:
http://soldierhawk.wordpress.com/
One very new non-LP post is up regarding the Shadow Complex boycott (sort of), one old-but-I-never-told-anyone-about-it update having to do with the movie "Sunshine" (which is awesome), and several LP: Half Life updates (when I post the videos in my blog, I also add written commentary as to what I think of the game so far/random musings regarding the game.
So...yeah. Enjoy, I hope!

Couple of updates, one talking about my latest HL: LP, and the other detailing what I have in store in terms of updates for the next couple weeks.

So, updated my blog with another comic review (Brubaker's "Winter Soldier" series this time):
http://soldierhawk.wordpress.com/
Also started a new blog, this one on literature (although the first post is fairly pop-culture oriented, all things considered). Because you can never have too much of my opinion:

(Also, look for another LP:HL up either tonight or tomorrow. Also a movie review, I hope.)

that is awesome girl, wordpress looks a million times better then Blogger. I've started my own blog at Blogger but to be honest, the format suck and the editor is glitchy. How does wordpress treat you, maybe i'll consider posting there instead.

I started out at WP so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I have no complaints at all. It's been very, very user friendly, easy to just pick up and use, and I have yet to find a feature I want that it doesn't have. (Aside from stuff I would need to be hosting my own website to get.) It makes juggling multiple blogs very very easy as well. If and when I get my own actual website, you can bet that wordpress blogging capability is one of the first things I put onto it.
Like I said, I don't know how it compares to others, but I DO know that most of the really good and well designed blogs I visit use wordpress as well. ( http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/ being a prime example. He created that theme/skin himself obviously, but its a good example of what a creative designer can do with the tools wordpress gives you.)
