I doubt that's what the title will be, but here goes:

"Will Smith is set to direct a remake of the classic film The Karate Kid, with his kid, Jaden, in the lead role of Daniel LaRusso, and Jackie Chan as Mr. Miyagi. The film will be produced by Smith with the original Karate Kid producer Jerry Weintraub in tow once again.

Jaden, now 9, has acted before, co-starring with Smith in The Pursuit of Happyness, but this is a whole different venture. He's not only going to have to carry a feature on his own, but it's going to be something high-profile like a remake that a whole lot of people have strong feelings about."

I wont lie. This is a bit of sad news. I really cant see them replacing "youre the best around" w/some new hip hop BS in the training montage video. I just cant see that.

You men probably already know this, but Will Smith was originally going to be Neo in "The Matrix", but he turned it down to do the really shitty "Wild Wild West" instead.

Is it wrong that I just goddamn don't like Will Smith? He was cool when he was the young rappin' dude, but once he did ID4, it seems like things went to his head and he got all pretentious and shit.

ID4 was the "hip" short name for Independance Day when it came out.

I think Will Smith went downhill the moment he decided Scientology sounded like a great idea, and hooked up with John Travolta and Tom Cruise.

What if a person wants to cuss because they are genuinely legitimately angry, and their life isnt like Will Smith's?

And cussing is an odd thing to pick. Was he okay with the threats to kill the families of cops and other people you don't like, or perhaps the glorification of renting women out for money? At least they didn't have a potty mouth.

Is there really a need to remake the Karate Kid? It's not even an old movie! Well, I guess it is technically but it's still way too soon to be remaking it. And fuck you Will Smith! We don't need your vision of Karate Kid or your nepotism!

Honestly, with the recent announcement of Ridley Scott's movie adaption of Monopoly (yes, the board game) and the plans for a movie about a spoof movie that spoofs spoof movies, a Karate Kid remake starring Will Smith's son isn't even the worst news coming out of Hollywood this week.

I'll wait and see the first trailer to see if it sucks or not.

The original was a good movie. It doesn't even look that dated. The actors did good jobs, and it isn't that fucking old. It doesn't need a remake.

You people are all racist. If we can elect a black guy president, we can certainly elect a black guy to be the Even Most Nextest Karate Kid.

The real issue here is that Pat Morita is dead. So unless Ralph Macchio, Steven Seagal, or James Hong trains Karate Kid, this movie is all kinds of fail.
