I really wish there was a way other than a thread to spread the word about this... But I can't ^^
Gradius... There's a "remake" of it here. It has orchestral/jazzy remixes of the original music that will make you almost weep while playing, because of it's coolness.
Other than that, It's very challenging, more perhaps than the original game.
