These are an addictive fun hobby, I've never bought any of the games, but I played the hell out of the Star Wars games when they came out. I played the demos of Indiana Jones and Batman, which were also pretty fun.

While growing if anyone asked what I wanted to be when I was old enough to have a job, I would always say "The guy who made LEGO designs".

I still feel that way. My dream has slipped past me.

My kids love the Lego games, especially my 3 year old who fucking pwns them. I've played them myself and while Star Wars and Indy were pretty good, Batman is a buggy, funless piece of junk.

I'm probably gonna pick up LEGO Rock Band, it actually has a number of songs that I love, mostly The Final Countdown

I always dreamed of that too, and tried my best to come up with stuff on my own, but my limited collection made it impossible to create anything remotely interesting. But I knew I could do better than this:

That looks like an absolute clusterfuck

^ What, did they use like 13 Legos in that kit? Yippee!

Anyways, I want to grab one of the Lego Adventure Games (Star Wars, Indy or Batman), I think I will grab the Star Wars one, is that a good choice? or will I be better off with one of the others?

just get the one for the DS. you can use that as a gauge to determine if you want the console games or not.

Firstly thank god you called the title lego and not "legos".

Legos pisses me off beyond belief cause it has no fucking plural it's just lego, it even says it on the fucking logo.

Anyway, yes Lego Racer was a fucking bitch. The concept was great that you built your own lego car and then raced it but the courses were so shit, the controls were bad and the levels were virtually impossible to do.

For those who haven't played it. The main part/story mode consists of you racing through different lego worlds: first pirate world then medieval world and when you beat the so-called villain ("blackbeard" in pirate world) you complete the world and move onto the next. The concept was great but it was badly done.

Why the fuck isn't there a bundle for Lego Rock Band!? They really dropped the ball. I have PLENTY of instruments, but I would have bought the bundle just to get new blocky, Lego-themed instruments. Fucking idiots!

they play similar. if you play the DS version, you get an idea of what to expect for the console

Great game, definitely worth getting as is Lego Star Wars. Avoid Lego Batman though, even if it is on sale.

Lego Universe Beta Sign-ups Open

It's a good week for fans of multicolored block toys. Yesterday, TT Games announced Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars, and today the beta sign-ups have opened for the Lego Universe MMO. For your chance at being one of the first to try Lego's foray into a massively multiplayer world, head over to the beta sign-up page and register. A Lego ID is required to register for the beta, but it's free and covers the other sections of the Lego site as well.

The game is an attempt to bring together several disparate types of Lego toys. The Lego brand encompasses everything from medieval knights to outer space explorers, so giving players a chance to mix and match in a virtual world should allow for quite a lot of customization. Plus, it gives the Lego company a chance to launch new pieces in the MMO world alongside new physical products. Check out our hands-on preview for more details.

It looks very awesome from what I have seen so far. The 2010 lineup of games is already lining up to be something so spectacular, I can hardly keep up with it.

Lego Island was my favorite game growing up. The second one would've been great if it weren't for how slow it took to load.

I loved playing Lego Island as a little kid. The Brickster was a pain in the ass to capture, though.
