Really patriotic? I have a Recordkeeping teacher that really likes to say how the USA is the best country period, and forces us to actually say the pledge instead of just putting our hands over our hearts (which is what I do, simply out of respect). She also claims anything that critsizes the Bush administration "propaganda".
She's far-right, you get the picture.
Now, there's this kid in the same class who is REALLY paranoid. He likes to blame pretty much everything on the govt. This usually leads to arguments between him and the teacher. He also has a heavy lisp, which makes this even funnier. One of their arguments once sucked up and entire class period.
Just thought this was funny and I'd share.

What's wrong with being patriotic?
You should feel lucky you don't have to deal with commies and socialists in grad school like I do.

What's wrong with being a PS2 fanboy and thinking everything else is worse, and all the 'disc read errors' are a load of horseshit put out by Nintendo and Microsoft?
Nothin' wrong with being patriotic, just don't overdo it.

I had an anti-tech Social Studies teacher in 7th grade. The situation came up where the entire 7th grade class I was a part of was doing a macro-project about South America across all 3 teachers' classes. Anyway, some of the students did work on a computer and the teacher felt it was cheating because not everyone had a computer.

So is it cheating if some students used books from the public library, because not all studends may have had a library card?

Not that the aformentioned teacher is correct, but there is a giant difference in getting a free library card and a 600+ comp.

OK. What if the person can't find transportation there, or got sick and couldn't make it, or is 10 IQ points below someone else in the class, does that make it unfair? The point is, the people without the computers could've went to the library and used books, or the computers there. I really hate people who are against something just because of "the principle of the thing", and not for any actual reason.

It's also really easy to put together a computer for word prcoessing, and internet browsing for $100 or less. Just gotta look around.

Nice, a little micro ATX motherboard inside an NES shell. That'd be awesome for LAN parties.

Let's not forget that if Ninendo hadn't made asses of themselves way back when, there would be no Sony Playstation.

Actually it was Phillips' fault, they didn't mention any of the deal to Sony and when Sony found out they pulled the plug on the whole idea.

Yeah, but this was after Nintendo backstabbed Sony and went with Phillips because Sony demanded rights to all of the games that used discs. Sony made the Playstation out of spite.

I'm am accually in the process of making my own NES-PC, I just need to save up to get the Micro ITX board. I have the Disc Drive and Hard Drive for it, and I have already gutted the nes, and rewired it for a MOBO interface, so that the Power and Reset buttons will work with the PC. I have also added a 2nd LED light for HDD activity. I could post a few pics of it, when I get home from work, if anyone wants to see what I have done so far.
