Quote:
Although there were 41 Blue Moons in the twentieth century, there was one of only four during an eclipse, and the only total eclipse of a Blue Moon in the twentieth century.

A Blue Moon happens every 2.7 years because of a disparity between our calendar and the lunar cycle. The lunar cycle is the time it takes for the Moon to revolve around Earth: 29 days, 12 hours, and 44 minutes.

Badass! Thanks for the tip, and the website. Hadn't heard of it before, but I like it a lot.

Pretty epic stuff. I'll be looking out for it just as long as the smoke from all the fireworks clears up.

That is interesting. I'm really surprised there isn't some stupid doomsday prophecy attached this though.

Oh, perfect. Now I have to make sure the cultists in my neighborhood don't pick this little bit of information up, or I'm moving the fuck out.

I can personally attest that the rumors of people acting crazy on full moons is fact. Every time I've ran the phones on a full moon I've dealt with some of the most clownshit insane callers I've ever had the pleasure of conversing with. This full moon will be even worse, because of it being a blue moon, New Year's Eve, and an eclipse all wrapped up in to one. Anyone want to dress up like me and work my graveyard shift? There's a free NES2 with a dog chewed controller in it for ya!

I think I get a bit sensitive on full moons. Maybe I'm just a bitch
