Anybody watch this tonight? They did their own version of saw, which was interesting, but somewhat lame at the same time. Next week looks like a rehashing of Speed.

All great shows steal plots from movies. My favorite "Saw" rip-off was when Lionel Luthor was subjected to a series of tests by an employee who lost their job in a business merger.
*While the room caught on fire, Lionel had to carry across the room and balance two buckets of water on a hook and then jump into the next room before the room burst completely into flames.
*While Martha Kent was in a "The Cell" type water tank filling up, Lionel had to unscramble a key phrase into a clue for the password to stop it.
*In an elevator timed to explode, a gun was given to the two and one had to shoot the other (Lionel chose to shoot himself).
This was the same year that Lana started to kill herself temporarily with a drug to see her dead parents *cough*flatliners*cough*.

...Or am I the only one who sees what a quality show this is? If you do, who is you're favorite character? Mine would have to be Spencer Reid, just because.
Stupid Mandy Patinkan, he was so good, but he leaves every fucking show he does part way through the series, mother fucker.

I fucking love Criminal Minds. Its one of my favorite shows currently on. Reid is my favorite too. I'm pissed that Gideon left too.

Mandy Patinkin was cool, but Joe Mantegna is better.

It's just hard to make the adjustment.
Did anyone see the season finale? Now I'm kind of pissed again. At other points they've alluded to a character maybe leaving(Hotchner, Garcia and whoever Pagget Brewster plays), and now someone else might be leaving, or EVERYONE might be leaving, they better not drop the show, that would be the shittiest ending to a series ever. If Reid, Morgan, Hotchner,Montegna or JJ(Because she is fucking sexy, and you don't kill pregnant people) die, then I will not be happy.

I can't ever take Joe Montegna seriously because I always think about Fat Tony from The Simpsons. But he is a really good actor, and I think I like him better than Patinkon.

I had missed about a season and a half. So when I started watching again, they had already made the switch and I was like WTF?!
I do like Mantegna. But Patinkin is what I was used to. So I'm still in a transitional phase.

Mandy left Chicago Hope for the exact same reason. We all saw it coming. The man leaves when he wants. He was also supposed to join the cast of Boston Public its second season, they even introduced him in the finale of the first season, but he walked out too.
I occasionally watch Criminal Minds. Although my interest in it has peaked because Xander is a reoccurring character.

I thought I recognized him as Garcias man. Doesn't get much screen time, and he's gained some weight.

I watch Criminal Minds when I can... Spencer Reid is all kinds of awesome. It does make me lawl though that it has the dude from Dharma & Greg... I'll always think of him as Greg. 8D Thomas Gibson I believe.

Patinkin is too busy chasing a six-fingered man to avenge the death of his father Diego Montoya.

He is LOVELY as Garcia's beau. I'm just glad to see him at all. Like Kevin Weisman, he isn't quite a leading man no matter how adorable (in a completely hetero way) he is.
Also when I study the weight of Brendon he started gaining on Buffy. He was at his chubbiest on Kitchen Confidential, but when I saw him on CM I actually thought: He's lost some weight! lol

That was a fantastic episode. I was kind of disappointed that they teased Spencer v. Jason Alexander, then turned it into Rossi v. Jason Alexander, but I was happy with the end results. The CGI sequence that showed Spencer's thought process was a little bit goofy though.

Speaking of guest actors on Criminal Minds, did anybody see the episode with Wesley Crusher as a serial rapist a couple of weeks ago? Weiiird.

Yes I did. And Ethan from Lost (William Mapother) was one of Wesley's captives!
They also Luke Perry as a compound leader this season. And in that episode, Frank from Lost (Jeff Fahey) played the former compound leader that Luke Perry had drived out so that he could turn the compound from a separatist Libertarian ranch into a pedophiliac polygamist cult.

I watched Criminal Minds for awhile, but it started conflicting with other shows I liked. I heard George was on it the other night...

Having rewatched some of the Gideon episodes in syndication, I have to say I really like the Rossi episodes better. The show has really hit its stride now. The writing is better, the guest stars are better, and the current storyline with Hotch is fucking awesome.

I am currently watching season 4. I still have 5 episodes to watch. I gotta say I thought Jason Alexander was awesome. Luke Perry was awesome. It reminded me of a cult version of his character from Oz. The whole season has been great.
I have to agree with Syd. I decided I really like the Rossi episodes better than the Gideon episodes. Everything about the episodes are better in my opinion. Plus, I actually like Rossi better. He is probably my second favorite character behind Reid.
Speaking of guest stars, I was extremely impressed with Jamie Kennedy in season 3.
