I was thinking that maybe Syd could make it possible for anyone to comment-on/review the 100 games in the nes/snes top 100's
I often check these and would like to see more people's opinions on the games.

Being the most fanatical person here about those lists, (I have asked Syd on multiple occasions to let me be a part of the N64 list when it finally happens), I would love that.
That being said, the exclusivity is likely what keeps the stupid comments from comin in.

Yeah but you could allow ppl to comment at the bottom of each page, in a different style. Like simple white text on a black background.
Also maybe we could get some mod(s) for it who can delete pointless comments and spam.

It would function like youtube, 95% stupid comments with bad grammar, 4% bot advertisers, and 1% real intelligent people.

I think different people visit sydlexia.com than youtube.com
Btw maybe a good idea would be to only let ppl with a forum account add comments or something.

Ba'al, you just summed up youtube in %. Win!
Although, I'd argue that there exist more then 1% of intelligent people, but there is too much margin of error.

How many intelligent people do you see around here?
I don't think many people could even include themselves in the 1%

Why not just create some sort of wiki page for people to edit as they see fit? I.E, list all the games on one page (One page for the SNES list, and another for the NES list), and simply let forumers add their comments about the game. I have no idea if Syd would want to spend his time linking each page of the article to the Sydapedia page, but this seems like the easiest way for people to comment on each game. Plus, it would probably make it easier on Syd, as we all check the wiki from time to time, and any of us could edit spam or other such crap out of the two wiki articles.

first question:
editted: never mind, asked a stupid question and found out the answer
second question:
Could syd add this sydapedia page to the main page of the snes article?
third question:
How do I add a comment to a game on this page? When I click edit it doesn't show any content it just gives me a blank page. I assume you're suppose to add a comment to the existing page this way but how do I choose where to put it?

if you click the edit box next to a particular game, I believe it should lead to a blank text box. To add your comment, Put three equals signs before and after your name, press enter, and add your comment It would look like this:

Crazy; when you gonna add the top 100 nes? and did you intentionally reverse the top 100 snes? #100 is 1 and #1 is 100.

if anything he should do a top 100 arcade list.
He's never reviewed any N64 games, but theres plenty of arcade games like Bad dudes, Caveman Ninja and Revolution X he's reviewed.
through I don't think any of those fancy light guns or car racing or giant DDR pads count.

An arcade list is nigh impossible. It's like doing a 100 best video game ever list. You're never going to make one that's even close to right, and you're an asshole for trying. Arcade game would have to be done by era. Maybe pre-1983 and post-1983. Or maybe by decade. I could come up with 100 arcade games from the 80s alone that deserve recognition.

Well you could do top 25 each from 4 eras or something.

I'd so be up for that!
But, how is trying to determine a "best game ever" any more arbitrary than determining "best game ever (for platform X)"?

I didn't spend the better part of an hour crafting that page because nobody else would just so people could not post in it. I'd add my own comments first, but I'm waiting for others to do so.

God, shut up. People'll edit stuff in when they feel like editting stuff in. You nagging them won't help, and it isn't a good habit to get into of bitching whenever your unrequested help goes unappreciated.

By the way, thank you for creating this article. You are right that someone had to. It's just irritating when you bitch and nag people to edit it.
