Unilever, the same company that makes Ragu, Skippy Peanut butter and countless others have recalled 10 million freakin' cans of Slim-Fast. That's a lot of of Slim-Fast. I use to drink these things all the time just because they tasted delicious, especially the chocolate malt flavor. Mmm. But the tainted cans may contain "Bacillus cereus" which can cause vomiting, diarrhea and ruined bathroom floors. The recall is for the "Ready To Drink" cans of the product.

They should market it as "Bulimia-In-A-Can".

All the vomiting, with none of that annoying food!

Good job. Now people should learn how to diet properly instead of relying so much on these drinks.

Hey hey, it's not people's fault that they're fat. It's stress and child-bearing that cause it. And George Bush.

True, but a person's weight is controlled first and foremost by what you put in your mouth, and whether you exercise or not.

Blaming genetics for obesity is like blaming cars for people crashing into trees while texting.

HA!

Yeah, my shop teacher was morbidly obese, his brother was obese and all of their children were except for one guy that was my age, he was completely normal and in shape. I asked him how he wasn't obese and he said "I just don't eat awful greasy food for every meal like they do" He grew up chunky but saw the eating habits his family had and just didn't want to be fat. People make it more complicated than it needs to be.

Agreed, but some people have to put in more effort to get to the same spot as someone with a genetic advantage or proper dietary upbringing. But still, every person has their own personal deficiencies in life and have to choose for themselves if they are willing to overcome them or not. The reason obese people have it tough is because their deficiency is quite obvious.

Yea it's very true that certain people are more prone toward being fat/thin or more or less muscular. In bodybuilding lingo, people who are naturally thin are called Ectomorphs, while people who tend to carry excess bodyfat are called Endomorphs. People who build muscle easily are called Mesomorphs. Everyone is some combination of those three archetypes. I myself would be considered an Endo-Mesomorph, because my natural tendency has always been to be heavier, but I do build muscle relatively easily as well. But regardless of what type you are, you can achieve pretty much any build you want if you're willing to do what's necessary to get there.

I lifted a lot, starting when I was about 16. But a little over 4 years ago I got into martial arts, and pretty much dropped regular weightlifting in favor of circuit training to build cardio. Nowadays most of my "lifting" is centered around pushups and pullups.
