So those of you playing Arkham Asylum know that Batman's costume takes damage over the course of the story, at certain scripted parts. Personally, I absolutely loathe this, at least during free-roam mode while working towards 100%. I want to be able to "repair" my batsuit (aka just keep it the same through the whole game.) Does anyone know of a mod, or a switch I can flip in the config/ini settings to accomplish this for me without completely fucking up how the game runs?

Oh yeah, sorry. I figured that was kind of implied since I was talking about editing the configs and ini, my bad. It is PC.

I did some searching and apparently they are scripted. That in mind if you are using the PC I'm sure there is in fact a way to have a Batman Model from the start of the game through out the entire game. Also, some places had said that when you upgrade your batsuit, it should be fixed but I'm not positive.
I got to say though, seeing his suit rip in MK vs. DC was a pretty nice touch... just a side note.
EDIT: Okay sis you might be happy with this (No promises) but I found on the eidos forums that they have skins for the game

^ Yeah, a way to keep the first version of the Batman model for the whole game is exactly what I'm looking for.
Thanks for the tip on the skins there. A lot of them are awesome and I'd love to use them, but sadly they're only usable with the demo, not the full game, thanks to EA's anti-pirate software-shit. So no dice there, which is too bad. The Batman Begins skin that guy made is just stunning.

Hawk, what happens if you try to use them with the regular game?

GP, the problem with those suit skins is that the full game of B:AA has copy protection that prevents it from running outside mods. I don't know the specific technical reason behind it, but it has something to do with crack-protection. I haven't actually tried it to see what happens since I've been told by multiple people on the B:AA forums it doesn't work, but I understand it crashes the game once you get to a certain point.
Slayer, bought it off Steam.

there goes my theory since steam is usually really open to customizability. Makes me wonder when EA started to have a stick up thier ass with Mod ification since all the BF games have custom skins and well... they do make the sims.

Fair enough question, ToG. I dunno, really. It just bugs me, especially during freeroam after the story section is complete. It just makes me feel less 'like Batman' to have his suit all ruined like that. (Plus, its ridiculous he can glide with a cape as torn up as his ends up as.) I mean its nitpicky and anal yeah, but *shrug* I just don't like it.

That would annoy me too, I mean it makes sense since he doesn't get to wash/repair his tights while he's in the Asylum, but is it battle damaged depending on how good or bad you are? Like let's say you really suck at the game, does more damage happen?
That would be kind of innovative, like reverse Major League. Everytime you die, your suit gets a little more damaged. If Bruce Wayne ends up naked...game over.

^ Nah, its scripted at certain points in the story. Like when he gets stabbed during a cutscene, there's a rip over the bat logo, when an explosion happens his cape gets shredded, etc.
