http://www.geektyrant.com/2009/03/more-on-deadpool/ Contains some spoilers but apparently they'll be showing what he looks like under the red and black (assuming they ever at least put him in the trademark costume).

Why have him in the movie if they aren't going to use him to his potential? I was looking forward to this until your pics. Honestly, the only reason I wanted to see this one in the theaters was Deadpool. If that is what he is going to be then I will wait for DVD.

my thinking is the reshoot changed the original ending from the leak and possibly leads to show that deadpool was a failed experiment

Well I suppose this is good news for anyone who wanted to see Baraka in a movie again.

Isn't his toy from the movie line in a close variation of his usual costume? That's fucking stupid. Not like I planned on seeing Wolverine anyway...

I was never a fan of Deadpool anyway, so I could care less even if they made him into a German woman who has alcohol problems.

What, you think Fox was capable of getting one mutant in the movie right (Gambit), without fucking up all the other ones? (Sabertooth, Deadpool, Emma Frost, etc)

They did? Excellent. I'm still definitely going to see it in the theatre then. I've been waiting for him, my favorite X-Man, to appear on the silver screen for over a decade now.

I was really shocked they didn't include him in any of the three X-Men films, not even a cameo or mention. He whoops some ass in Wolverine though.

His name appears on screen in the Mutant Registration computer that Mystique inflitrates and hacks in one of the movies, I forget which.

It's pretty sad that they showed Jubilee in the films before Gambit.

I still find it funny that they crammed so many mutants into X3, but only gave Gambit's name a negligible cameo.

I like Gambit too, but he should have been introduced long before this movie. This is the typical comic book movie. They want to introduce different characters thinking nobody would give a shit otherwise, so they surf the internet and find out what characters people like and bring them into the movie in cameos. I think this might suffer from the same syndrome a lot of superhero movies suffer from. They are going to shove a shit load of characters down your throat, and not give you enough time with the characters to give a shit about them. I was hoping Hollywood was getting away from that trend since I loved most the latest Marvel movies.

X3 had that problem, it was introducing too many mutants at the same time, and was giving the problem that next to all of them would only get two or even one meaningful scene. Hell, I think Multiple Man only talked once, and apparently Psylocke was in too, and I didn't know even after seeing the movie twice.

I like the fact that in Fox's world Deadpool apparently is the "Merc without a Mouth".

Well, actually, I don't like that at all.

I think they're probably confusing Deadpool with the person he parodies now, he seems alot more like Deathstroke(Maybe better known as Slade in Teen Titans, since censors are even afraid of words).

Deathstroke debuted in 1980 (The New Teen Titans), Deadpool debuted in 1992 (The New Mutants).

Alright, here's what's up:
If you watched the leaked movie, you're an idiot. If you actually tried to critique the leaked movie, you're a total and complete fucking brain dead asshole. The leaked copy of the movie is like 60% done, tops, as I understand it. Moving on...

Deadpool was meant to be an integral part of the story. Then they found out that they had Ryan Reynolds for all of 3 days, so they removed most of the Deadpool stuff. Reynolds finished whatever gay romantic comedy he was working on early so they were able to get extra time shooting with him, which happened after the leak. Basically, they are putting him back into the story the way he was originally intended to be; these changes have nothing to do with what people thought of the leaked movie, because as previously stated because anyone who had any comments about the unfinished version are complete fucking brain dead assholes, and their opinion is meaningless.

As for the look of Deadpool, did you REALLY think he was going to be in his costume? In X-men they didn't use the costumes from the comic books, so why would they now? The only reason Gambit looks like he does in the comics is because his costume is a fucking trench coat.
