This isn't a huge surprise. I am guessing that if this had been researched back before the internet a fair (yet still small) population of average guys would have lived pornography free lives.
Now, it is possible to see porn just about everywhere you look.

I think porn sites were created by those moral Christian groups as a way to get people in trouble. Most of them are so loaded with ads that they seem to crash and freeze exactly when you try to click away from them, but only when someone's coming.

The only saving grace is that the embarrassing part of it is the worst consequence in most cases. After years of people getting in trouble, most realize that it is just out there and that everyone looks at it, but they don't make it pop up during presentations on purpose.

In my teenage years (when the internet was in its infancy) I never looked at porn with any regularity. My own filthy thoughts were all the material I needed.
But nowadays it's so easily accessible, so most of the time I do make use of it.
