I got a copy of Dirt 2 (Steam delivered) when I bought my ATI HD 5850 card.

I would normally avoid driving games, but since it was free, why not.

It got a 90/100 from Metacritic which is exceptionally high for that site.

I played for about 2 hours and have this to say. This fucking game is impossible with a keyboard. With a digital single press control for steering, I over or under steer every fucking turn. If I want to align to go straight I find myself in a battle of left right left right.

It is frustrating to crash so much because the damn keyboard is so finicky. I will most likely get an XBOX 360 controller because Batman has kinda needed one on the PC too and I think this game will play much nicer with one.

Given the controls I'd rate it a 5/10. With the right controller though, it might be damn good. The graphics are amazing and the races are intense.
