I don't know why this made me laugh so hard.
Juvenile humor for the win.

I dunno
*spoilers, just in case*
Mickey beating the shit out of the Jonas Bros, then explaining how Disney sells sex to kids and insulting Christians with them all sitting behind his back is at the top of my list.

That was the best episode I've seen in a long time.
Seconded.
Figure I should expand my original post. I absolutely lost it when they started spraying foam with their guitars. And Mr. Slave....just too great.
Before, my favorite recent one was when they made fun of Twilight/vampires.
*rreggh!*
Oh, that Butters.

Hahahaha, the fact that they actually had to prop it up with a stick is too funny.
Yea they definately hit the ground running with this season, can't wait for next week.
I love looking forward to the new South Parks.

my favorite line from that episode is "do ya want the Jonas Brothers to douse you with their white foam?".
I'm a sucker for double-entendres like that. The rest of the episode was pretty damn funny, also. Partly because it makes sense- Disney selling sex to kids, but hiding it because the Jonas Brothers wear purity rings.

Season 13 - Episode 2: The Coon
Episode: http://www.southparkstudios.com/episodes/220759
This episode did nothing for me. In fact the ending just pissed me off more than anything. Everyone speaking in the douchey Batman voice was more obnoxious than it was funny.
I guess I just hoped it was going somewhere or there would be a funny part. Nope. Just lame.

Aw, I actually found it quite funny, albeit on a character level, not so much on the parody level. I always enjoy watching Cartman get one-upped, and then his over-the-top reactions. Plus, you gotta love seeing Chaos and Disarray.
As a take on Batman/Watchmen/etc though, it was not strong at all, I'll give you that.

Meh, the Dark Knight commentary was nice, especially making fun of my one problem with the film (as well as Batman Begins), that being the overly deep voice. And it made fun of how kids imitate pop culture things to the extreme sometimes.
And yeah, SH is right, it was glorious seeing Professor Chaos again. I actually clapped when he appeared - which I think makes me a pathetic fanboy.

Nice to see Professor Chaos back
But yeah, it could have been better. With an episode title like "The Coon", it could have gone off in a horribly funny and wrong direction.
And the ending pissed me off.

I found that episode's ending to be a cheap cop out.

I have to agree that the ending was a cop out. In general I thought the episode was pretty funny, but the ending pissed me off as did the premise. At first I thought it was going to be a parody of Watchmen because of the opening shot, but it was entirely The Dark Knight. You know what that means? We're going to have ANOTHER half dozen episodes that are nothing but parodies of movies that are 6 months to a year old now.

I thought it was a great episode. The first episode was pretty good, this was amazing. And it was a parody of both. Cartman was more Rorschach-y than Batman-y, the single-minded vigilante unwilling to compromise his beliefs and unrelenting in his search for the truth. Sure blowing up the hospital and disappearing/reappearing at the police station were straight outta Dark Knight, but Dark Knight more easily invites itself to parody. The shot of the empty alley with the graffiti was fucking genius though.
I have no problem with the ending. Do you really care who Mysterion was? Why? You're never going to see him again, so why the fuck does it matter?

I thought it was pretty damn funny as well. The wife laughed her ass off, and that's quite rare.

The first episode of season 13 was a 9/10, I seriously hadn't laughed this hard since the Obama/McCain Ocean's 11 parody from last season.
having Mickey Mouse leave the room saying " now go out there and make me some gdamn money"
true parker/stone comedic genius at it's finest.

I enjoyed it more than last week's, but the opener has been the best so far. Still though, I thought this episode had some great moments that were so right on point. Especially the scene with the chicken running around with its head cutoff to determine what the government should do, haha classic.
