Hey guys, what's all your thoughts on Noise? I love the genre myself, thanks mainly to my sister and a bunch of old Sonic Youth tapes Ifound. I just recently discovered Happy Flowers who kick all kinds of ass. I don't know how you can't dig "Mom, I Gave the Cat Some Acid", or my personal favorite "Jenny Tried to Kiss Me at Recess". Here they are...
And then here's some Sonic Youth for good measure...
So, yeah. Any other Noise fans? Post some of your favorites!

Oh, and sorry for the double post, but my computer's weird and long posts suck to do.
Compliments of dear Cam:

I love noise! Here's a few of my favorites:
Yow is a god
Melt Banana
The Cows - one of my favorite bands - noisy and hilarious!
Hella - math rock and noise
Heroine Sheiks
Hammerhead
Fantomas - more avant-garde metal but still kinda noisy
Last two here aren't really noise but they may interest you for the sake of dissonance:
Jawbox
Fugazi

I'm gonna check out Sonic Youth and Melt Banana; those were awesome.
Unfortunately, my knowledge of noise music consists entirely of HEALTH, but here's more HEALTH goodness:
(I seem to be having the same problem that Fig's having, it won't let me post anything below these two videos)

I would recommend:
Sonic Youth - Dirty, Goo, Confusion is sex and Daydream Nation
Melt Banana - Bambis Dilemma and Cell-scape

Yeah, Cam, if you want to get into Sonic Youth, Dirty is definitely my favorite record of theirs. Most people like Daydream Nation better, though. Also, "Schizophrenia" from Sister was an absolutely amazing song of theirs.

While Fugazi does kick super ass, I wouldn't really call them noise at all... I mean, if just using some noisy sounds every now and then makes you a noise band, then pretty much every alternative band ever is a noise band.

Yeah i was thinking that which is why i said when i posted fugazi and jawbox that they aren't really noise but include some elements of it.
Like you said if you can regard nearly all alternative bands as noise. Nirvana - Radio Friendly Unit Shifter, alot of Pixies material, Beck etc.

I absolutely love Sonic Youth, but I don't like their early noise-rock stuff as much, like Confusion is Sex. Daydream Nation, Sister, and EVOL are all incredible, though. Seeing them live is a hell of an experience, too.
