I don't care much for the daily GameFaqs polls.
As exemplified in thread 771, post 7109.
Today's really seemed particularly irrelevant as Princess Peach and Princess Daisy are the two characters battling it out. Because Princess Peach gets all the glory these days (and because Princess Daisy has been tainted by that Mario movie), I was not surprised to see Peach leading the polls by 41467 votes. My question to the world is why we needed to have a poll of the day on this? For that matter, why is there a racist Survivor? Which begs to question, why is Survivor even still on the air? And raises the issue, why is the band "Survivor" still around?
So I assume that Princess Peach and Jill Valentine will be fighting in the near future?

Speaking of comic book guy (Who is me +200 pounds, - 1 girlfriend, and with 33% more sass), some kid came into the store where I work asking if we had the old 10 cent comics, and then asked for Action Comics #1. For anyone who doesn't know, that's the first comic. Like, the first real one. Superman and everything. There's 75-80 copies known of in the world, and it is known exactly what condition each of those are in and who owns them. A new one was discovered recently and may be the best condition one found so far. If so, it will sell easily for $500,000. The kid was looking to pay the 10 cent cover rpice. No emoticon is angry enough to describe how I felt towards this kid.

Because my brain can hardly fathom the stupidity of that kid (how old was he?), I will instead pretend he was merely looking for a reprint of said comic.

Sorry about that. Anyway, was the kid just being a douchebag, or was he serious?

I was in the store while the kid was there. I think he's like partially retarded or something. He talks really slow and he asked really stupid questions the whole time. I don't even work there and I was ready to throw the kid out.

I know she lost, but Carmen Sandiego would not only kill Zelda, but we'd never be able to find the body nor time period.

If you actually bothered to, you know, read the site, you'd know that this is actually part of a tournament that gets run twice a year.
People make predictions on how the bracket will go, and enter to win some cash.
Each match is voted on for 24 hours as the Poll of the Day.
It's basically free publicity for the site.
Peach vs. Daisy is kind of a lame match, but you obviously weren't there for day 1.
Samus Aran took on one of the little female Nidoran rat monsters from Pokemon.

PLease, school us with your incredible knowledge! In the like 10 years they've been running th is fucking thing none of us have seen it before! I think he was just commenting that this particular vote was one of the dumbest ever, and possibly that the brackets were poorly designed if it was allowed to happen. You're like the guy from those fucking commercials. "You think that's a dumb vote? Yeah, obviously you've never been to Ecuador"

Actually, I started this thread because I saw we had a new thread for every GameFAQs poll we wanted to comment on (as linked to in the original post). For organization's sake, I wanted to start a neutral thread to tack future posts to.

Well, that's what you get for wanting a neutral arguement out of us. We're anything but neutral. Or reasonable. Or mentally and emotionally stable.

That was probably overly sarcastic.

GameFAQs sucks, there's too many Nintendo fanboys there. It should have come down to Master Chief vs. Dante.

At least it didn't have another Square Enix character in the finals again.. What's more insulting is that Auron beat Alucard and Sub-Zero; Vincent Valentine was somehow more popular than Ganondorf; and that Crono was more popular than Bowser.

them's fighting words. auron could easily beat lame ass sub zero, but alucard should gone over him. vincent is one hundred percent awesomer than gannon, but bowser is one hundred thousand percent cooler than crono.
