Oh that's bull. I totally didn't realize that the picks had to be in by Thursday just because they started playing Thursday night games now. Why does it matter anyway? It's not like I can pick either of those teams after they've played anyway. Can't I still make a pick for Sunday's games?
I finally caught up with all of last week's games (I record two or three and watch them during the week) so am ready to check the schedule and this thread and make a pick now without ruining the outcomes of the games I still had to watch from last week.
I tihnk the default rule should only apply if someone fails to pick by Sunday's kick off, not Thursday. Come on.

Yes, your picks have to be in by Thursday night now. Yes, if you're not in by Thursday night, you get a default pick. And no, it isn't fair to be able to make your pick knowing the result of one game already. I mean, really, it's not like you weren't around.
That said, it's not like there's money riding on this or anything, so sure, I'll let you pick late this week. But you know, the Browns aren't a bad sleeper pick.

Yeah, of all weeks, getting stuck with the Browns in this one isn't too bad a deal. If everyone agrees with you that I should be screwed here for not realizing about the Thursday night thing, then I'll stick with the majority. But if people don't care (really, knowing the outcome of one game doesn't really make a difference at all, especially since no one picked any team in that game this week anyway), I'd like to make a pick myself. So everyone still in it, please weigh in.
I was going to say, you knew I was around the forums. I wish you'd sent me a private message reminding me to get my pick in as it was obvious I was avoiding this thread, else I would have seen your initial warning in the thread. Hell, it might be fun going with Cleveland after all.

I already said you could make a new pick this week. Like I said, I'm not about to go all SERIOUS FUCKING BUSINESS on an internet message board contest. I don't see any real reason to debate it. Just keep it in mind for future weeks.
And if you change the pick, and the Browns win, I am so going to laugh at you. You'll even get the Kefka.

I know, I already thought of the wrath of Kefka when I realized that Cleveland has a decent chance to win this week, and that would make me look really stupid. It would be really fun too to just go with it, but I think with all their distractions lately, and the fact that the team seems to hate Mangini, Detroit has more to play for than Cleveland so I can see Detroit winning this one.
So I'll go with the sure bet that is Cinci and risk the Kefka.

Thanks Usa. Haha 3 weeks...wow! The Chiefs and The Raiders, amazing. I would be up for another one, it's always fun. If people are still left when the playoffs start we could just call it a draw between whoever is left, since I think I remember you saying something about having a playoff one planned.
