I'm sure most of you have seen this by now, but I didn't see a topic on it and it's pretty incredible. Some drunk woman falls onto some tracks as the train as coming and the train stops just before it hits her. When I say just before it hits her, I mean literally if the train were to move one more foot she would be dead probably have been hit. It really is amazing. If you read the article it brings up something I didn't even think of. One of those rails is electrified, so not only was she lucky enough to not get hit, she was lucky enough to not touch the electrified rail! Probably better that some one didn't jump down, I know if I were in that situation and I were to actually jump down, I wouldn't ever think of that and probably get shocked to death.

Not to bitch but it's usually called the third rail. But man if she did hit that...well the train may as well have run her over.

Hopefully she is getting the medical attention she needs.

God...dumb bitch! Sorry, but I can't feel sympathy...I mean I don't want to see anyone get hurt or anything, but this is one of those cases that would've been avoided entirely if she wasn't stupid to be fucking drunk in public. Will she learn her lesson? Probably not, she'll be wasted at the bar next weekend.

Next up, the lawsuit that there isn't some form of barricade/protection to stop drunk assholes from falling on the tracks.

The third rail is between the wheel rails. Not directly in the middle but close to one of the sides

We have a lightrail system here in Oregon called the MAX Line. It kills about 2-3 people a year. Which is unbelievable because: 1. It on rails, and can't swerve to hit you. 2. The places where it hits people are usually the places where the tram is only going 10-20 MPH.

Most of my friends agree, if you are an adult and get run over by the Max, then you deserve it.

I'm gonna have to go the opposite way with you on that. I think they should put a grill of spikes on the front of the train. At least it'd make the body easier to recover.

True, but it would decrease the fuel efficiency of the train having to lug all those bodies. Most of them are probably fat people, too.

A little experiment if I may. Please put your finger on your computer screen. Go ahead. Don't be shy. The goal of this exercise is to not touch the line I'm going to draw. You can put your finger anywhere on the screen you want, just don't touch the line. You can even move your finger around, just don't touch the line.

Did you avoid touching the line? Congratulations, you're not a fucking idiot and could avoid being hit by a train.

If, however, you did touch the line, and are in danger of being hit by a train, I will feel very little sympathy for you when you get smoked by a large, heavy, loud machine moving in one direction without turning. Provided you're not TRYING to get hit, getting killed via train might be the dumbest way to go.
