I remember always renting this as a kid, and being easily angered over the difficulty curve. I've been playing it lately and it's still kinda hard. Anyone else have fond / rage memories of this game?

I've made it to the GWAR concert before, but I usually die on the second level because of the fucking crows and their lousy hit detection.

Yup, I don't remember having anything good to say about the game either. Even if it was on an emu, it was a waste of 1044 KB of storage.

i never cared for the SNES version of this game. it was hard and it didnt appeal to me at the time. but in all honesty, i played the superior genesis version first.

This. The SNES version was a boring platformer, the Genesis version was a vastly superior action/adventure.

This. The SNES version was a boring platformer, the Genesis version was a vastly superior action/adventure. |
it was more adventure than action imo, but it was still better than the SNES version

The sprites for Beavis and Butthead were way to fucking big in comparison with the level to make it a decent platformer, too damn big to jump dodge any enemies or projectiles. It plays more like a frustrating beat em up with some platform jumping thrown in just to piss you off.

Loved and grew up with the Genesis version, despite not beating it until the internet existed. I tried the SNES version a few years back and went "Well this sucks."

I've played the SNES and Game Gear versions. In fact, I own the latter.
In all honesty, they're just OK.

I had the SNES version, and it was the first game I ever beat on my own. Once you get how everything works, it's pretty cool, but nothing above being just mediocre.

I played both in my childhood, the SNES version more than the first. Both had pretty awesome gameplay and soundtracks.

the only one i liked was the genesis one.
honestly though, why would they make a kid's game based on a tv show that caters to an older audience?

I love this game, as it gave my brother and I a co-op strategy we use to this day. For the boss battle against Mr. Andersen, he'd run after you with a salami, and proceed to slap the hell out of you with it. What my brother and I did, was have us on each side of him, and one of us would hit him. when he'd turn around to attack his attacker, the other would hit him. Andersen would always turn toward his attacker, allowing us to pummel him silly without taking any damage.
We refer to this technique as "The Beavis and Butt-Head Strategy"
