I played this recently at a friend's house. Its like Odin Sphere but with a more interesting setting, bigger world, a story thats not depressing as all hell, and a fluid fast paced combo system and unique sword switching mechanic.
Anyone else play this?

I have it, it is a really solid game. In, fact, this would most likely be in my top five Wii games. The 2D graphics are stunning, the story is decent and the gameplay mechanics are perfect. Its coming to PSN and XBL soon as well.

Rumored a year ago, never officially confirmed. Not listed on GameFAQs or mentioned on Wikipedia. Could still materialize. An XBLA version of Metal Slug 7 was announced almost right after the DS version and then finally came to exist as Metal Slug XX a long time later.

I think it was confirmed for the HD twins earlier this month actually?
Anyways, I have the game, and while it is really beautiful, I felt the gameplay was a bit repetitive. Its still pretty good though, just not one of the best on the Wii.

No, HD Muramasa is still in the unconfirmed rumor phase, though the rumor mill started up on that again at the end of September.
It is also rumored to be getting a 3DS port, though that's not any more likely to happen. In an interview with Siliconera, a bigshot from Marvelous Entertainment, the game's Japanese publisher, was specifically asked if Muramasa would get a 3DS port, his response was that that was "a good idea" and then a bunch of bullshit about how they're committed to the fans and whatever.

Either way, I would still buy it for the Wii in the hopes that we could see some more great games like this one.

It's a good game. The music is really solid, the backgrounds are interesting and lively wherever you go, and I don't hate either lead with a passion as I usually would with younger leads in a Japanese setting.
