Wondering when our next challenge is going to be. Also, could it possibly be a Genesis challenge to mix things up? It seems that many of us were raised on Nintendo systems, so giving people the chance (and challenge) of experiencing games they've never played before would be pretty rad in my opinion.

Gunstar Heroes
NBA Jam

Using the last order as a reference, the next Challenge would be the SNES Challenge.

If good emulators with recorders can be found, I don't see why we wouldn't change the system used if it were possible. I dunno, ask Douche Smile

Apparently Kega Fusion records video. I'll check it out.

Fusion does indeed record video. Though not very well.

The resulting .avi files are unplayable and need to be converted to .wmv first. And they're huge.

In an Obi-Wan voice - "YOU WERE THE CHOSEN THE ONE!" You were suppose to put Not Sure in the robot trash heap and then disappeared. I still need to finish the NES Challenge videos. They are all made just need uploaded.

I'm tempted to host a DOS/PC challenge, but I might have to get approval, and it might not be too popular. Here's some games I'd have:
For Doom series (except Doom 3), Heretic, Hexen, Hexen Deathkings, and Strife, I'd allow the use of ZDoom, vanilla Doom, Doom95, Doom Legacy, Chocolate Doom, and Skulltag provided Freelook is turned off, the players can't jump or crouch, and there's no use of any weapon mods unless the challenge requires a weapon mod (i.e. Drown in Blood maps rely on eweps.wad due to the massive amount of monsters the maps throw at the player and how insanely difficult it would be with regular weapons). I might be more sympathetic on TNT Evilution and allow cheating to some degree because the first map only supplies a Plasma gun, a shotgun, and a chaingun, and in the path of a switch that is needed to get the blue keycard, three Cyberdemons await splattering the hapless Marine with their rockets, and a mancubus is RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE LEVEL. I would let the players either godmode past the Cyberdemons or MDK them before proceeding to the switch. I may allow jumping and crouching in wads that need it, like Jumpmaze and Doom Barracks Zone.

Fan of the first person shooters, are we? Also, you kind of descend into gibberish at the end.

Anyways, I'm for the Genesis.

I seconded the genesis... at least with the genesis, we don't have to buy all those games...

http://tasvideos.org/EmulatorResources/MakingAVI/EmulatorSettings/Windows.html#Genesis

Seems there is a Genesis emulator you can use. Make sure you have ffdshow, though.

Since it is a TAS site, the directions assume you recorded your inputs when you played, and are only converting them to a video. You may find you can record as an AVI and play at the same time.

I'd rather record solely with FrAPs... I like it
