This thread is about games with weird collision detection, where you get hit by stuff 3 feet away from you, or where a bullet goes through your head and you don't die.

Anybody remembers that Darius Twin challenge and those fucking crabs? Those bubbles, I swear those piece of shits are actually squares.
And at the angle they're being shot, good fucking luck if you're not positioned properly even before they are shot.

I'm pretty sure that kind of stuff happens in the Mega Man games, but it's not as obvious, and I don't really have any example Confused

Sometimes I wonder how those MeatSims or EasySims in Perfect Dark manage to miss me, even when I'm almost glued to them and they aim directly at me.

SM64 has random invisible walls that you apparently can get through sometimes. Otherwise you fall to your death.

I don't really have anything else so go ahead and post your examples.

I remember seeing TF2's hitboxes once. They were ridiculous.

Notably, on Saint's Row 2, fat characters and skinny characters have the same hitboxes. Makes for some pretty funny "HOW DID HE NOT DIE" moments when you're playing as a fat guy.

A lot of the really hard bullet hell games have very small hitboxes. If you don't get hit through your cockpit, you don't die. This often seems counterintuitive, and until you get used to it, the games seem impossible.

Not only that, but bullets themselves sometimes have smaller hitboxes than their sprite (maybe they're glowing?).
