Okay, I just found out that I am in the running on my NFL pickem sheet...I need Baltimore to win and they are getting three points, and I need over 40 total points to be scored. If both happen, I win $630.

Good! Although, I doubt he'll get a harsh enough sentence. Personally, I hope the evidence is damning enough to keep him out of the HOF, for fear of a black eye to it's image.

even though i am an Arsenal and definitely not a Man U fan, congrats Chicharito:

Javier Hernandez has capped a phenomenal debut season for United by scooping the prestigious Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year Award.
The accolade is voted for by fans across the world on the club’s official websites and honours United’s best player in the 2010/11 campaign.
Chicharito, who has scored 20 goals this term to help the Reds win the Barclays Premier League and reach the Champions League final, was presented with the trophy at a glittering gala dinner at Old Trafford on Wednesday night. And the man himself was delighted.
"I have to say thank you so much to the fans," he said. "They have helped me a lot. I think this was a difficult decision to make and I don’t think I deserve it because it hasn’t been just one player who has played well. We are a team.
"I also must thank my family who came over to England with me and helped me a lot, and of course I’ve had great support from the boss, my team-mates, the coaches and all the staff at the club who have all helped me feel very happy and very comfortable here.
"I dreamt about playing for Manchester United and thought perhaps in my first season I’d play for the Reserves with maybe a few minutes in the first team. But thanks to the boss and all my team-mates I have played a little bit more!
"It’s an unbelievable feeling to have won the league title," he added. "I knew all about the history at Manchester United when I joined |

Home Run Derby was fun to watch (since I recorded it and skipped commercials). It takes way too long though watching it live.
And I'm disappointed in your people username, they were so quiet during homers.

Honestly, me too. I hated the team this year. Fuck 'em. They deserve to go home.

Lava and Usa, You are both banned effective immediately, and I hope you die.
What's that, you can still post? Oh, I guess it was an idle threat.

I also think Baltimore knocking the Sox out of the playoffs was awesome and Syd you don't really come off as the Baseball fan type.

Canada can still qualify for Rugby World Cup quarterfinals if Tonga beats France, and they beat New Zealand with at least 4 tries. Which is about as likely as Pirates winning the World Series

What the fuck is this shit? You don't claim to be a Red Sox fan, do you, Satsui? What was wrong with their team? They were great, just got injured down the stretch.
8:59 pm Pacific to 9:04 was one of the worst five minute stretches in my life. In that span Papelbon blows a lead in the 9th and then Longoria jacks a home run as soon as the score is displayed in Tampa Bay's stadium. FUCK.

As an Orioles fan, it felt good to see the Red Sox get eliminated from the playoffs.
Another thing that pleases me in sports - anytime the Pittsburgh Steelers lose, which includes being beat by the Packers in the Super Bowl.
Oh, and getting a picture with Alex Ovechkin this past weekend at the Capitals Convention.

I like the team. I hate the players. With a few exceptions (Papelbon being one of them, I'm honestly sorry he had to throw his only L of the season last night) they're a bunch of overpaid, overrated, assholes who put in no effort and both acted and played like a spot in the playoffs was their God-given right. There was nothing to like about these guys. They were like the Yankees North Annex.
They got the third-place finish they deserve, as far as I'm concerned.

I'm neutral about the Red Sox, I just like to see teams waste leads, gives me a reason to actually give a shit.
The Braves' one isn't as funny because they were playing the best team in the league while the Cards were playing Houston
I doubt them playing so bad near the end (how do you go 2-4 on the fucking Orioles!? 1-6 to the Rays doesn't help either) can be blamed only on injuries.

As a huge baseball fan, and with my team (Mariners) out of it since July, I loved the last 30 minutes of the season yesterday. From the last out of the Atlanta game to Longoria's walk off was truly glorious. Let's just hope the Playoffs live up to the ending of the regular season.

Oh, I'm not only blaming injuries. They flat-out choked. I agree that if you don't have any vested interest in either team, it's more fun to watch the "underdog" win.
I just had never heard a Sox fan said they disliked this year's team as it's a very similar roster to previous seasons. In fact, the most unlikable player from the Boston fans I know is Papelbon, who Satsui ironically feels bad for.
You're going to be in for an annoying 2012 seasons, man...Papelbon likely won't be on the team next season.
