I got a free Dreamcast from a friend of mine, for two reasons. 1: I've been collecting a shitton of classic games and gaming systems, and excluding ridiculously old or obscure systems, I at this point have them all, and 2: I'm in the process of getting my own site off the ground and reviews are going to be a minor but still significant part of it.
I never was the biggest Sega fan growing up, but I was fortunate enough to have a Genesis AND an SNES back when, but my knowledge of Sega begins with Master System and ends with Genesis.
So can someone recommend me some decent Dreamcast games? Or hell, even bad ones? Just nothing mediocre.

Not only is that not right, that's not even wrong. It's a meaningless statement. Saying something is "one molecule away" from plastic is like saying a farm is one letter away from a fart. Water is "one molecule away" from being explosive hydrogen gas. |

lucky. two of my friends had a dreamcast they dont use anymore, but they dont know where its at. probably in storage somewhere, but they have no idea where exactly. so, im waiting for them to find it.
on a related note, i was looking for said dreamcast in one of my buddies houses and i found a saturn. so i took it of course. no cables or controllers in the vicinity, but hey, free dreamcast. the cables and controllers are probably in storage somewhere too.
god, they are so unorganized.

The only games I still have for my Dreamcast are Record of Lodoss War (Diablo II-style roguelike) and PSO (the first one with the Sonic Adventure 2 demo).

alot of games that were on both ps1 and dreamcast are better on dreamcast for one reason or another. dreamcast also had a ton of great 2d fighting games.

Street Fighter 3. The only game you'll ever need again.
Oh, and I guess Marvel vs Capcom 2... Just be sure to find that tutorial online on swapping soundtracks, since fighting to slow jazz isn't exactly the best match. Not that the jazz isn't good, of course.

I got my Dreamcast used from EBGames for about $15, best money I've ever spent on a console.
