Whenever I hear about something tragic involving someone the same age as a close or semi-close relative, it just hits close to home for me.

Your logic here would make a normal person go insane. Everyone knows someone who is at just about every age.

I have an extremely morbid sense of humour, I just don't find this person dying to be funny, missing a landing isn't exactly funny when it results in death imo.

I'm not on a high horse, I have a morbid sense of humour and say terrible things often enough to know I'm not above anyone at all, I just don't think this situation is funny at all.

Since people of all ages die all the time and we all know people of all ages, I don't see the point in posting this because you "have a semi-close relative of that age".

Yeah, that's not really funny. It's sad.

Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us.

According to: http://www.thetech.org/genetics/ask.php?id=284

If a male and a female third cousins have children, then these children would be Siblings / Double fourth cousins . This is loosely defined as incest here because geneticists can prove through DNA testing that third cousins share a genetic relationship. Technically, it is a form of inbreeding.

So while it may be legal, it still may not be morally sound.

Meh, the only reason that particular morality exist is to prevent people from having messed up kids. First cousins can do that for a couple generations.

Mostly off-topic, but relevant since we're talking about relatives:

After my cousin's suicide and the family getting together at the funeral, I see relatives there I hadn't seen in years. My dad, at 55 years old, is the youngest of 8 brothers. He's of course talking to these same relatives we hadn't seen in literally a decade or so and he's standing next to his oldest brother. My dad is 55, the youngest of 8. His oldest brother is 78. A 23-year gap.

And at that age, it's hilarious because my dad looks like your typical middle aged man, while his brother, a man from the same sperm and vagina combo as his, looks like his grandfather. It's amusing to think that these two are brothers when a father/son combo is more appropriate, age wise.

Not only is that not right, that's not even wrong. It's a meaningless statement. Saying something is "one molecule away" from plastic is like saying a farm is one letter away from a fart. Water is "one molecule away" from being explosive hydrogen gas.
