so I jsut worked a hard shift, twelve straight hours of band aids. I won't bore you with details, but johnson and johnson is not only one of our biggest clients, but also the pickest and most frustrating.
All I thought about all night was comign home to eat thsoe mallomars that I ahd been savbing in my freezer. breakfast of champions, and perfect before I went to sleep.
I get home at 6:30am, open hte freezer, but somethign is horribly awry.
DOUCHEBAGGERY IS AFOOT!
the mallomars are nowhere to be found!
it turns out, my buddy chris got stoned and ate them.
an entire box.
by himself.
I was entirely too perplexed as to how a man could consume an entire box of mallomars in one sitting to even be mad at him.

What the hell are mallomars? Like Moon Pies? Hmm, a whole box of Moon Pies, that's a lot of food.

Yeah, nothing pisses me off more than poor roommates who are too lazy to go to the goddamn store so they just eat your food, especially at the critical times such as these.
Just eat a bunch of his food until you feel things are "even".

Oh, those! Those things rule! (But I've either had them on a cookie tray or in generic form.)

Dude, how many are in a box? Because, I mean, that box looks kinda small. I could see myself eating all that in one sitting.

Up here we call those things Viva Puffs, and they come with either chocolate, caramel, or raspberry jelly in the middle.

there are like eighty million in a box AT LEAST.
the best thing about these is freezing them. they suck if you don't freeze them.

The box is only eight ounces. I've eaten burgers that weigh more than twice that. Sure they weren't marshmallow burgers, but I'm sure anyone could tear through a box of those, high or otherwise.

are we talking a marshmallow and chocolate sandwich, or some disturbing amalgamation of meat and marshmallow?

I just brought burgers into the equation to give a point of comparison for weight, but we were talking meat and marshmallow amalgamation.

I think the real question is what weighs more, 8 ounces of hamburger or 8 ounces of marshmallows.

In the abstract, it absolutely doesn't. As far as actually getting an exact pound of feathers or gold in real life, I dunno. I still say a pound = a pound.
Your post weighs more than a pound of BULLSHIT
I wanna buy some of those cookie things now and stick them in my freezer, just what I need more dumpy snacks.

According to FAQ Farm

It's Feathers by a margin of...
The answer to this "trick" question requires one to think outside of the box.
A pound of feathers actually weighs more than a pound of gold because they are weighed by two very different systems of weight.
Feathers are weighed by the AVOIRDUPOIS unit and gold (as well as other precious metals and gems) is weighed by the TROY unit.
A troy pound is 5760 grains (about 373.24 g), while an avoirdupois pound is 7000 grains (about 453.59 g).
So, the correct answer is that a pound of feathers weighs more that a pound of gold by a margin of 80.35 g or 1,240 grains. |
Although, both answers are acceptable.
