I found out this, TwinBee Paradise is a 4 episode OVA put out by Konami in 1998.(Basically, the TwinBee series was at it's most popular there)

Konami, you have one more chance to bring this series to America proper.
('Cause Gradius II and Gradius Gaiden were introduced to American gamers in Gradius Collection, which came out June of this year.)
