Yeah I actually know more than a few of the creators of the game as the HQ is in Waterloo, IA. They will not come right out and say it, but the error was that they did not use the unreal engine, and opting to create a engine from the ground up was a game killer right off the bat IMO. I think by the time they found out it was going to drag the game down it was to late to do anything about it, the PC version is much better than the console version though from what I have heard anyway.
They have the casino games to fall back on, and I personally think they will learn from these mistakes and come back strong, considering the size of the company and the money that went into it I think they will see some profit when it becomes a $20 game. It really is a shame because the idea for the game was unique and could have been really epic in scale if not for the engine they used..and the lack of extensive testing. The Game just seemed too old graphically and in game play , to me it seemed somewhere between Half Life 1 and 2. Really a shame because they are great guys who normally push out great products.
