Oh my god guys, I wish you were all flies on the wall (or flies in my microphone, I guess). I am, as we speak, at home, but attending an online Technology in Education class. We're going it mostly via voice chat, except for the people who don't have mikes and communicate via text messages. (I want you to take a moment to envision this class that is half audio, half typed text.)
First of all, I'm sitting here listen to people fumble with the audio equipment. Its like the concept of pushing "ctrl" to talk eludes them. Also, I'm being taught how to use powerpoint. I learned how to use powerpoint ELEVEN YEARS AGO. When I was a FRESHMAN IN HIGHSCHOOL. We're also learning about copyright, and what constitutes as copyright infringement.
Add the fact that the so-called teacher clearly doesn't know as much as a healthy 25% of us in the class, and the fact that he sounds like the Comic Book Guy, and you have a recepie for a lot of very, very long Tuesday nights. Sigh.
Oh well. At least I can listen with one ear and surf the net/play games with the other. I don't have to drag my ass all the way to school.
Edit: Oh, now we're about to learn the "protocol for speaking, since I don't want all of you interrupt me when I try to teach you this stuff." I can't *wait*.
