I drew this after taking the photos of the mushrooms. I thought the idea of a sullen mushroom was funny.
Then I thought, maybe it was a guy transformed into a mushroom who was miserable at his new lot in life, and I would make a series of images of him as different things, feeling morose...But I skipped to the end one instead (animated...poorly):
