Sweet. He met his deadline.
Did u wait until 5 minutes before midnight PDT on purpose, just for the suspense? Or did it just work out that way?
Good article btw. I wouldve opened up fester myself.

Also, I got a coupon. It's for fifteen cents off my next box of Cabbage Patch Kids Cereal. And since this box is marked at the reasonable price of $1.73, that's a savings of well over 8%. And guess what the expiration date on the coupon is? THERE IS NONE. So Ralston was either extremely optimistic or extremely pessimistic about how long this cereal would last. My guess is the latter. |
I wonder if you could use the coupon for anything now. Maybe it is a collectible itself?

if I could have got to bed earlier, I would have. I'm exhausted and I'm at work. Out at 3 though, and going back to bed.

Its not that we don't care. Just in my book writing about expired foodstuffs < writing about band shirts, NES games, etc.
That said, it was a good qudrilogy of articles, and I'm glad you ended up okay. I really wish you'd stop eating stuff like the Star Wars cookies and Cabbage Patch cereal though...you don't need to makes yourself sick to entertain us. Seriously, you don't.

The Star Wars cookies article was the first article I read on this site, and I thought it was very entertaining, That article was the initial reason I came back later because I liked it so much. I really enjoyed the expired cereal articles. I was anticipating the shit out of the next one the whole time. It's cool you're okay! Good work man.

Fuck that. He needs to puke next time. I was actually hoping he would try to eat the cereal with vodka like he did with the cookies

Yeah I mean you can only do so many articles on expired foods until people start hoping for vomiting and get bored.

Does it creep you out that a bunch of total strangers on the internet are clamoring to see videos of you puking?

Well Syd did say he would reenact 2G1C rather than ever eating Star Wars cookies again.

You're all horrible people for wanting to see Syd throw up on camera, but I would like to see his facial expressions upon consuming old cereal or whatever. Must be priceless.

I love these articles and the June of Doom was very entertaining. Thanks Syd!
It was awesome to read that you almost vomited on the Cabbage Patch Kids cereal. We almost had it!

I appreciate the time and effort it took to put the June of Doom together. Great work!
You've sworn of eating expired food from now on, which we all know is a lie, so the next time you do I say you can't accompany said food with any beverage...unless it's vodka. I'm telling you, that milk stifled the full repulsiveness of those cereals. Either that, or you've proven that preservatives really freaking work.

Eating a bowl of expired cereal with Vodka replacing the milk has to be some sort of mortal sin.

I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy, Because I'm easy come, easy go. Little high, little low.
Anyway I really wish to see that video, but then, that would have people asking for more videos rather than articles, and the written articles seem like part of the charm this site has. Anyway (the wind blows) go for it, we want to see some hardcore Syd vomiting action!

Nice work on the articles Syd! I didn't realize all of those crappy cereals were made by the same company, so that was interesting to me. I would love an article on the absolute most obscure cereals ever licensed. I know you don't take suggestions, but if you do it...
Please, don't eat them!
