There comes a certain battle that pissed me off to a whole new level. This game is all about strategy and setting up staggers in the later goings. Good luck five starring all the Missions too.

Is my brain melting or did these sentences not make any sense at all to anyone else?

They made perfect sense to me.

He is implying that the difficulty suddenly and sharply ramps up when you don't expect it, and at that point you have to think through strategies and employ nice techniques to win. You can get 0-5 stars for each battle depending on how you perform. Toward the end of the game a whole bunch of side missions open up involving killing various monsters and you can get up to a 5 star rating for each one (62 total missions I believe). It's not the easiest thing to do.

64 Missions and no I haven't started that part, I am currently about 500K CP away from max'ing out everyones Classes. Then my attention is going to turn to making all the Ultimate Weapons, then the accessories, THEN the missions. NeoOchus are susceptible to death, so you may want to take on Mission 55 as early as possible. (Atleast I think its 55)

I got this with the bundle a few weeks ago. Haven't played the game yet. Now that I can get on Live again, I'll probably finish going through Sacred 2 first.

It takes THIS LONG for the entire party to get together? Oh well, at least now I can have Sazh and Lightning wrecking stuff together. CHOCOFRO FOREVER.

I have friends who are going bananas over it, but they're all X and over fans so I don't think I would necessarily enjoy it as much as I did VI and IX. I would love to give it a try though, if only for the awesome battle theme.

I'm about a solid day of playing away from getting 100% Trophy completion. It's definitely a challenge when you beat Attacus and all the "easy" Admantoises turn to much harder versions. After that I can finally play GoW3 Smile.

Franz the best way to look at it is this. Take the name Final Fantasy away from the game and you have an extremely enjoyable RPG experience. (This coming from someone who has played and beaten all the Final Fantasy games.) I learned after 8 that you just simply cannot compare Final Fantasy games to one another. Every one of them have stengths and weaknesses over the others.

So well put, I have still have work to do because Just Cause 2 sidetracked the shit out of me, but I think it is a pretty good game.

It's by no means easy, and the battle system is fast-paced, always keeping you on your toes while making you think. Plus it's drop dead gorgeous.

From what I've heard, there are the die-hard fans that love this that were going to love it anyway, and the people who felt it to be overly dry and familiar. I'm part of the latter. Though Final Fantasies 6 and 7 are in my personal top 20 favorite games, they got me hooked because they presented me early on with well-paced plots, interesting and streamlined gameplay systems, and interesting characters. I've heard you have to get many hours into XIII before it gets good, but I really doubt it. I don't have the patience for another cutscene where it sounds like the voice actors were wearing earmuffs while recording, or watching a battle unfold with little strategic or direct input from me.

I get why people may like it.If you loved every Final Fantasy and are big on JRPG's, then you've hit gold here. I just feel like Final Fantasy games nowadays are more of being a slightly interactive movie than what they used to be.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

Battles at first start out with you just making sure you use potions and kill the enemies. I'm not very fond of interactive movies (looks at Xenosaga) and there wasn't any point in time during this game where I thought, "Ok blah blah blah, that's great, lets go!" It really is a great game with a lot of Character customization.

I'll give it to you that the cutscenes were at least mildly entertaining, definitely far less dry than most JRPGs'. I remembering saying "fuck it" out loud and quit about 3/4 of the way through Grandia 2 after the ninth unskippable cutscene where some squeaky-voiced teen praddled on about friendship and the power of the human heart.
