After it functioning just fine for the past nine years, my favorite non-color Game Boy game, Final Fantasy Legend, officially has a dead save battery. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU- |
My Pokemon Silver went through this, it was a sad sad day. There's a way you can replace it, but it's a pain in the ass unless you have that special screwdriver.
As far as the thing that pissed me off the most about games, I broke a controller playing Donkey Kong 64, it was a damn shame too since yellow controllers were hard to find. In GTA San Andreas, I think that bi-plane mission for Zero where you have to destroy Berkley's vans. Not only was the plane hard to control, weak as hell, had a limited amount of time, people shooting at me, BUT I also had to return the plane to Zeros' within the time limit, SO goddamn frustrating...one of the only times I've ever had to cheat to beat a mission.
Also Syd, you can always pull the "birthday" trick and say you got it and don't have a reciept.

| EDIT: Aren't the video games in a locked cabinet? You can def. walk into the store without a receipt and walk up to returns section and not be told you just grabbed it....whats to stop people from having a receipt from a prior purchase in their pocket, grabbing the same item off the shelf and trying to return it? |
Not the $20 ones.

Yeah, that's right. Target actually does have a tough return policy, but they have an unadvertised loophole for returns of $20 or less where you can get a store credit for an item twice a year.

I'm simply not willing to take the chance. True, they might give me store credit, but they also might claim that I'm trying to scam them, seize the game, and then I'd be doubly fucked. Not only would I not have my $20, I wouldn't have the game either. I'm gonna wait about a week and see if the receipt turns up. If it doesn't, I'll give the game to whoever's willing to send me a self-addressed postage-paid box to send to them in.

just take a younger cousin. tell them it was a birthday gift for them, but he already had it, and call it even.
or like Douche said, just go to walmart. their return policy is so lax, its ridiculous

The machine was sold when we closed down.
Also Syd quit being a baby and just take it back. Usually the return area is right near the entrance for the exact reason of your concern. This is also why Wal-Mart has greeters. If your scared to take it to Target, take it to Wal-Mart I promise you will get a credit.

The fact that they use "She's Got The Look" in that GTA commercial? What the fuck does that song have to do with anything? You're not playing as a girl!

That'll probably be the next step.
I could never understand some people's obsessions with playing as a women. The Tomb Raider stuff was ridiculous back in the day, especially since the game wasn't as good as everyone made it out to be. Now it's all about that shit, hot woman with big tits and a revealing body, yet can somehow kick everyone's ass.
That might be some people's thing, but it's definately not mine. That shit is laughable.

The fact my sister is begging for a 360 for christmas, when she got a wii last year and doesn't play it at all. Literally. It sits in my room taking up space. Meanwhile, I'm at least offering to help out with when I asked for a PS3, and am helping find the cheapest of everything for my mom and dad.
My sister's 360 is garunteed. I got told to "deal with not getting anything, at best"

I really am annoyed by people who do that LowEnd. My friend's mother literally spends money every week on excercise equipment and tapes and NEVER uses them. She'll bring them home and watch through all while fast-forwarding, just to see if it's worth doing. There's got to be around 100 tapes/DVDs in the guest room covered in dust. Also, the fact that she quit her job on the spot and they're on the verge of bankrupcy doesn't help matters.

The fact that in Mega Man (or at least 3), collisions with robot masters does more damage than their actual weapons do. What the fuck is the point of them even having weapons?

...It's true it doesn't make too much sense, because they could just ram into you non-stop.
But that would be boring, so instead their weapons give them a ranged attack, because you know you have to stay the hell away from them.
And about Mega man 3, I just bought it, and ugh, sliding is such a pain with the Wiimote. I'm used to an emulator, where you can't mess up your diagonals.
Something else about this game : Anybody here (other than Not Sure) can beat Quick Man with the Mega Buster? I can't ever dodge his fucking boomerangs.

what are you talking about, sliding is easy as hell with the wiimote. Down and A.
Something else that annoys me about Mega Man.
They actually put whites in its eyes?
Yes of course I realize the non-sprite version of mega man has whites, but when that sprite is so small on the tv screen —and his face might as well be white as well— but Mega Man always looked beady eyed as a sprite. Then I see that close up on the Wii title screen of Mega Man 9 and I go

They are still making PS2 games? I thought Persona 4 was supposed to be the last one.
Being the only good player on a shitty team on WarHawk. I swear the rest of my team was shooting each other while I tried fighting the other team.
