As far as I know they don't relate until the last chapter. Plus weren't you skipping Edward?

My ADD tells me that I will be bored with a bard.
My OCD tells me that I must complete the entire game or bad things.
I'll have to bring this one up in a therapy session.

Yang's story wasn't all that tough. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to redo Rydia's story, because I accidentally saved over it.

What do you mean? I've been saving over previously completed chapters all along. Doesn't the fact that they were completed remain?

Yeah, but there are bonus dungeons at the end of each story.

I wish that they made a single save file and allowed you to jump stories inside that save file instead of making multiple save files.

I kinda find myself completely disappointed with Yang's story, actually. It seems like all it was is "My daughter is hardheaded, hey, let's go to Baron! Oops, sidetracked. Let's get through this and get to Baron. OK, let's.... ahh damn, another sidetrack to Baron. Ladeedah, OK, to Baron again!"

Not only is that not right, that's not even wrong. It's a meaningless statement. Saying something is "one molecule away" from plastic is like saying a farm is one letter away from a fart. Water is "one molecule away" from being explosive hydrogen gas. |

Yang was my favorite character in this game. Why did I have to lose him? That fuckin pissed me off!

Shockingly enough, I still need to beat Final Fantasy IV (and I own 3 versions of it...)!
I definitely wanna download all of this once I have met that goal, though. I love me some Kain.

Dorkus avoid the 3D version on your first play through.

Do you mean the DS version? I played that earlier this year and got as far as Barbaccia before I had to throw in the towel. God that game kicked my ass.
Although rather ironically, that's the furthest I've so far yet to reach in any incarnation of the game. I have a nasty habbit of starting new games of FFIV only to get sidetracked.

The other versions of the game are much more pleasurable.

I am stuck on Yang's Tale. I am just not motivated to press forward at this point. Other games seem more interesting. I think tonight I will force myself to finish it so that I can play a more interesting tale.

Apparently Pepsi is giving away Wii points on it's 20 oz. bottles. For a $1 20 oz. you get 200 Wii points. Sounds fucking sweet. I haven't completely finished Rydia's Tale and I wanted to go back through Ceodores, so I am going to need to catch up. Add to the fact that I started playing FF8 again and Madden is coming out next week.

Is the Pepsi thing a chance at winning or is it guaranteed?

I've decided to throw my OCD of getting everything to the wind. I've already done Rydia's Tale three times (going back and forth about grinding for the summons). Then I find out you can save the dolls if you have the Mythril Nut/Bolt/Gear items (2 of which are drops from those Quatro dolls). I'm catching up playing the other stories (just beat Yang's) and in the offtime I'll be working on those Challenge Dungeons.

As far as I know the Wii points are guaranteed. My roommate bought a six pack and used them to buy rockband songs. So basically if you enjoy pepsi you might as well get paid to drink it.
I wish I could throw my OCD to the wind, but I really only plan on playing through this series of chapters one time and I want EVERYTHING!

Point 1: Damnit, I can only find 24 oz bottles around here.
Point 2: So I'm guessing you've been reading/contributing to the RNG abuse FAQ over at GameFAQs?

I just got a bottle of Pepsi and you just go to pepsirockband.com and choose Wii.
And yea I abuse the shit out of the RNG. Fuck trying to just get lucky for hours on end. Especially for summons that are crap. When you're all maxed out there is really no point in prolonging the process.
Edit: Before you start going Pepsi crazy this may just be for Rock Band tracks. It made me select a song and gave me a code to put in on the Wii Store. I'll update whether it only lets you get songs or if it's $2 on the Wii store.

I just completed Edward's Tale. Contrary to popular expectation, he can actually hold his own in a fight now. His part in the story is just as important as any. One problem, though: NO BOSSES!
Seriously, is it too much to ask that a guy who can do three figures of damage with a harp face one fucking boss?

You don't understand. I spent nearly four hours going through that story in one sitting, a good portion of which was spent earning money to make sure my party, in its entirety, was optimally equipped. When Harley came down with Desert Fever and I retrieved the Sand Pearl (formerly the Sand Ruby) without fighting the Antlion, I was pissed. When the story had Edward, solo at the time, attacked by two bandits, which he didn't fight, rather than go out the exit, I headed all the way back to where I ran into them to see if I could challenge them in an optional boss fight. When I found they'd gone and I never saw them again, I was more pissed. When the story ended without my optimally equipped party having fought boss one, I was most pissed of all. I don't care how much Edward has been hated in the past, I'm an equal opportunity ass kicker and I wanted to fight a goddamn boss.
