I think it's got to do with stereotypes. At first most are harmless assumptions but when people see real life examples, like a black man robs a 7-11 or an Asian Scientist creating the ultimate death machine, people start to become racist out of fear, thinking the whole race is like that out of assumption. |
Yeah really, who remembers all the paranoia about Arab Americans after 911?  There's a dude with a turban and a giant beard that's worked in one of the 711 in my part of town for years, and as soon as 911 happened and all those stupid attacks against Arab Americans happened, he shaved his beard took off his turban and now looks like everyone else. It's pretty lame he felt threatened enough to go through that imo.  |
That is pretty extreme. I mean, if I had a beard and a turban, I couldn't just get rid of them. Shit like that pisses me off. America shouldn't be about living your lives like that... although, I will say that people who live here should learn English, but I'd say that's a different matter.

I suppose you wanted more of an explanation. It obviously is not because I would think that are white people are evil and racist, hell I'm white myself. However, I am more so looking forward to it for 2 reasons. First, I am fond of the idea that the human race all started with one skin color, and even though over time for any number of reasons both genetic, climate related, or geographic this changed, I really like that it is all coming back together to 1 again, since we are one race, human. Secondly, whereas I don't welcome anger or hatred coming from any direction, I also look forward to it so that it is a step closer to putting people on a level playing field. Sure, there will always be haves and have not's, and that's an entire different conversation, but I like the idea of more unity. Sorry if me being happy for it ruins your joke, which by the way not funny, and if someone found it funny, good for them. Anywho, this concludes our broadcast day. Thank you, and good night.

That's inconsistent with your previous statement. You were speaking of demographic changes, not the mixing of the races. The phrase "Browning of the world" after stating that whites will soon be in the minority seemed to reflect pleasure in the rise of the african and hispanic populations in comparison to the rest of the world, not the gradual diluting of race through interbreeding. Also, the study you're referring to about whites becoming the minority is in reference to America, not the "world", as whites are already the minority in the world. (I'm not sure which race has a plurality.)
I'll be happy when we're all grey also, since then we can all hate each other for the content of our character without being called racist.

Yeah, I stole it from some comedian's stand-up routine on Comedy Central. I don't remember the guy's name, and I haven't seen him on since then (This was years ago), so I didn't bother putting quotation marks around it and I couldn't mention his name, obviously.
