Seeing the thing in action, it reminds me a bit of Bleach: Shattered Blade's playstyle with monsters thrown in and less spammable supers.
There's a part in one of the videos where you can see Simon using Grand Cross. This has me wondering if you'll be able to do item crashes if you have X number of hearts. It'd be another layer of routines to mix up fighting and prevent the repetitve fighting I've seen so far. I wouldn't mind using the Dagger Swarm crash with someone in a corner. I'm also glad they let Alucard keep the backslide.

Judging from the video, that gameplay looks pretty fun, including how you use the Wiimote. But, the character design looks like complete shit imo... and what was with the music in that video? I hope to god I don't have to listen to j-pop while I play a Castlevania game.

The character designs are hardly new. Anime has been the official art direction of Castlevania for awhile.

she uses magic in Rondo of Blood, sparkly magic I guessing. Also, she was twelve in Rondo, which takes place four to five years before Symphony. Because of the hair style and look, I am guessing she is somewhere inbetween 13 and 14 in this game. I am pretty sure 13 year old girls like cutesy outfits.

* Death (big surprise there). I like the cloak-less design.
* Eric Lecarde (THANK YOU KONAMI!!!!)
* Shanoa (from the just-released Order of Ecclesia).
As a side note, I got Order of Ecclesia (pre-ordered the thing; the soundtrack only has 6 songs on it). I haven't had time to actually play it yet, but apparently it links up with Judgment (and likely vice-versa) for some unlockables. That might be the easy route to unlock Shanoa (if she doesn't start out unlocked), kinda like Rosalina in Mario Kart Wii.

So far it's Simon, Alucard, Shanoa, Maria Renard, Dracula, Death, and Eric.

I bitched and fussed the entire time we had the great signature war, and nobody did anything about it, now I've got a monitor that's almost as big as my penis, running a ridiculous resolution, and could honestly care less about the rest of you. a moderator is more than welcome to delete the post though.
