Oh I know The Biggoron Sword is not hard at all. I don't think I've even failed any of the time challenges. Maybe I did once, but it was a long time ago and I probably don't even remember it. The reason I wouldn't get it because it makes the game real easy and the battles a little less epic. But it is indeed fun.
Anyways, I played a round tonight despite my controller not coming in. I 99% expect it tomorrow, but even if it doesn't come I'm going to play probably a dungeon every 2 days it doesn't come. Just because classes have started and I'd like to finish the game before I get into the thick of the semester.
So...Entry 4: Jabu-Jabu's Belly
-I can't say it happened to me, but did anyone have the crap scared out of them with the camera shot of that gigantic Octorock? They so intentionally shot it for that purpose.
-One reason I consider this game inferior to Link to The Past is because the bosses in Link To The Past were so much more inspired. The Armos Knights, The Helmasaur King, Moldorm (pain in the ass he was), Arrghus, Trinnexx; I loved these bosses so much I made Better Blocks (remember those?) constructions out of them. But the bosses in OoT were just...eh. That being said, Barinade is clearly an exception to this rule. It's like a cross between the Red Falcon heart and every reactor core in a space shoot em up ever. Fighting a reactor core with medieval weapons is pretty badass.
-Young Ruto is kind of a slut.
-Who has two thumbs and beat the treasure shop minigame without the Lens of Truth? This guy.
-Say what you will about the N64 graphics, but I think one of the all time great shots in a video game is the area right outside the Temple of Time. People forget that in the 90's photorealistic graphics were all the rage, but this shot literally looked like it was outside any kind of church in rural America, and it's awesome. (Imagine if the Catholics complained about that).
- I will also say that what happens after you pull the Master Sword out for the first time was a brilliant twist. First time I saw this I thought I made a fatal bad ending error. You could totally tell this was inspired from Final Fantasy 6. It wasn't quite as brutal as what happened in FF6, not to mention having a lack of [SPOILER:ed5180786d]Disc One Final Dungeon Syndrome[/SPOILER:ed5180786d], this was kind of neat. I also liked the fact that [SPOILER:ed5180786d]Zelda was ultimately not kidnapped (at this point)[/SPOILER:ed5180786d] for once.
-"...evil power radiated, and in seven short years, it transformed Hyrule into a world on monsters..." Just like the Republican Party.
-Total cutscene time between pulling out the Master Sword and regaining control: 6'40"
DUN DUN DUN
Well that's all for now, unless I get my new controller tomorrow, I'll continue on Saturday.
