I was actually just kidding around about losing your vote. While I liked having a huge margin of victory, I wasn't really going to be offended by anyone's reasoning for their vote. You're right about the line it crosses, however. Our battle started off very fun with both of us basically talking like real politicians, but then Sock decided to get much more aggressive, at least in tone. I don't know how serious he was taking anything, but I just decided to have fun with it. That and I like calling people comrade.

I really wish more of the rounds would go like this. The Bomberman, johnny one, for example, started off VERY bad, and I don't think Bomberman's recycled "Vote for me cause I'm black" campaign made for the greatest kick off to the thread. Nothing against recycling parts of a campaign in general as I fully intend to accuse johnny of eating babies, but that wasn't really well recieved the first time either so to keep harping on it just isn't entertaining. The biggest problem is that these battles are very sensitive. Obviously it's meant to be fun, but it's a competition and not many people like to lose. Not only that, but losing can be especially rough for the very competitive or self-concious people as it is just a popularity contest. Fortunatley we haven't had one of these get really out of hand, largely because there wasn't a vote between me and JEW**, me and Spanky, JEW and Tish, or Spanky and Tish during all the hostilities on the boards, but it's possible and it's something we may want to plan for in the future.

**Ironically, while a battle between myself and JEW would have been very heated and vicious a few weeks ago, if it were to happen now we'd probably just ask permission to perform the fusion dance from Dragonball Z so we could combine ourselves into one collaborative entity because of the amount of talking we've done lately with both our collaborative article and just me giving him input on The Black Parade from a musical standpoint, since I have played a number of instruments and was originally majoring in Music Engineering at college.
