Alright time for postive notes:

-Skyrim wasn't really on my radar, but the gameplay demonstration just seems to sum up what I've always wanted in a fantasy game.

-Battlefield 3 has tons of potential. With Brothers in Arms going Team Fortress Basterds and Medal of Honor '10 falling on its face, gaming needs its own Saving Private Ryan/Black Hawk Down that keeps us from looking like a bunch of brain-dead destruction monkeys. Hoping it can live up to the trailers.

Bioshock Infinite looks like the return of creative single-player shooters. Bioshock 1, for all of the well-deserved praise it got, felt oddly restrained in the gameplay, but Infinite just looks like a creative mind just got plugged in to a computer and was allowed to run free.

The Negative:

Mass Effect 3: Flashbacks to the old Gears of War 2 trailer that wowed everyone three years ago. Also, can we just put Female Shepard as the default? It's fucked up that even when Mark Meer overacts, he's still boring and bland.

Assassin's Creed: I wish the publishing part of Ubisoft would just let a year go by without an AC game. Let the developers get creative, and try to keep making the great leaps that they were able to accomplish in AC 1 and 2.

Nitpicks, more positives to follow (I honestly see a lot of cool things all-around):

War games- NOBODY IS SURPRISED WHEN YOU ARE IN A HELICOPTER AND IT IS SHOT DOWN (Far Cry 3 and Modern Warfare 3).

Press x to pick AK. Press x to automatically attach self to ship, place bomb, press a bunch of buttons and drive away (no other input needed). PRESS RB TO THROW GRENADE. Now press x to open door. Press x to pick up M4. Press x to pick up MP5. Press LS to move backwards. Press x to pick up M4.

Journey sucks. That is, unless it either comes to the 360 or I buy a PS3. Then it will be good.

New challenge: Describe your game for five minutes straight without using the word "cinematic."

Nintendo, bonus points if you announce something this week that isn't a) hardware, b) a game that is not a new installment of either a retro game/main property, or some kind of Fisher Price-esque, Wii-flailing gimmick

Microsoft, bonus points if you announce something that's not a shooter.

Sony, bonus points if you don't treat your customers like shit. Not even at E3, just in general.

I made fun of Microsoft, too. It's okay to occasionally even poke fun at things you enjoy. I recently even bought a DS and am having fun catching up on a lot of cool titles from Nintendo and 3rd parties. Just chill.

Children of Eden or something like that? I only heard the name, didn't know Mizuguchi was working on another game. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled.

Also, I'm with everyone else on the Wii U in that my initial reaction was just kind of a softly muttered "wut?" but as I see more and more it seems like the logical ground that tries to compromise the pros and cons of both console and tablet gaming (which every alarmist is saying will wipe out all of the consoles next month just because Angry Birds is annoyingly popular). I don't know how important or big it will actually be, but for a peripheral, it's really trying something.
