Just watched Linkara's Warrior #2 and #3 review and THAT is what the 2 year anniversary should have been.

Those comics were absolutely dreadful. I like that Warrior literally put an ad for artists on the last page, basically saying that the people who worked for him were greedy. This is coming from a guy who puts action figures of himself on Ebay and lists them for thousands of dollars, when they don't sell, he relists them and sells them for more.

So here's my update regarding the site:

A) LOL that ED took up Cinema Snob as their new Spoony (at least for a split second)

B) I'm kinda glad that they also came to the same conclusion that I did about Iron Liz upon first seeing her. She seems like a nice person and all, and nobody ever said that more female Maiden fans were a bad thing, but HOLY FUCKING SHIT, ITS OVER 9000 TRAPS!

C) I'm officially done with the Nostalgia Chick. James Rolfe isn't half as faux-intellectual as this cunt is, yet still he manages to do smarter dissections of why movies touched people the way they did, good or bad. Plus, when she said that she flat out isn't attracted to white people, that was a major turn off. I mean, it's not like I was ever going to end up in a "nude oil wresltng followed by an hour of sex match" with her, but her charm has long since disappeared. It's a damn shame that Little Miss Gamer dropped off the face of the earth, because she wasn't half as attractive as Lindsay, yet she was still 10 time more entertaining.

D) I also miss Goggles, what the hell happened to her? At least LMG has the excuse of a PBS puppet show being her day job.

E) Benzaie's Gamefap is fucking ingenious. It's the corniest shit ever, but it works!!

F) But still not as ingenious as Video Game Confessions. Still the best thing Doug Walker has ever done.

So Spoony got suspended from TGWTG for four weeks. They didn't really say exactly why, but if you follow him on Twitter and notice how his tweets are indistinguishable from a 14 year old girl, you could probably guess. He whines, he bitches at his fans, he is mean spirited when people are offering advice and he's been rather misogynist as of late.

Basically, he's making the whole site look bad.

You can argue "Oh but it's his character!" but that's silly. 6 out of 10 tweets from him are about having his "soul ripped out" by the girl that broke up with him, and the rest are him talking down to his fans, so I highly doubt that's him being in character and more him being a 30 something year old man-child that needs to grow the fuck up.

Good, I was never a fan. I hate that guy's squeeky, whiney voice. He's one of those people you feel embarrassed for when you watch them. Also, people who bitch about women in their lives on Twitter should go hang themselves.

You know who I feel bad for? Brad Jones (a.k.a. The Cinema Snob). He made it to TGWTG on Spoony's recommendation alone, and this coupled with him and his wife separating, he's officially having the worst week ever. Darkmaze, you ought to drive up to his house and get him wasted! On second thought alcohol may not be a good idea, since I have a strong feeling that's what led to Spoony's situation now.

That being said, fuck Spoony. He's been a piece of shit since the summer of 2010.

Here's what happened. For the past couple of months he's been making these stupid cat calls at girls/fellow co-workers. He typed "In case things don't work out between you and [boyfriend], I'd be willing to chain you up to a basement and love you, my way." Jesu, who can best be described as having skin that resembles tank armor, responded by asking if he was ok. Spoony recognizing for once that he was out of line, apologized immediately and that was that. Not that this stopped him from being a fucktard on Twitter. Obscurus Lupa, tired of this, called him out on his shit, merely using the comment toward Jesu as an example of his cuntery. This slowly set off a chain reaction that has lead us to where we are now.

So to answer your question, he got suspended and eventually fired for being a douche on twitter.

After reading 5 days worth of Spoony's tweets, I really don't blame the channel for what they did. Even when his whole skit revolves about being an egotistical asshole, he REALLY needs to grow the fuck up and know when to back down.

Also, he keeps using "open and honest". I don't think they mean what Spoony thinks they mean.

I did enjoy the Final Fantasy and Ultima videos; pretty lukewarm on the rest, however. And I might even like Nostalgia Critic if he didn't shriek like an eight year old girl all through every video (at least the five I watched. I assume they are all like that).

You've got a good point, but at least the NC doesn't come off as some basement dwelling loser. A few of the folks on the site feel semi professional. There's just way too many forgetable people on the site that seem like people with nothing better to do.

*Shrug* Have always loved Spoony's work, and probably always will. He may be an irl ass (I don't know the dude personally, obviously), but regardless, I will continue to watch his videos. They make me laugh, and that's all I ask for.

Motherfucker, Memorial Day weekend used to be the worst weekend of my life. I crashed my car and got into a fight that pretty much ended a relationship with a close friend. Almost a year later, during the exact same weekend, I visited New York City, bought some bitchin metal records, and fucked my brains out. Memorial Day Weekend became the best weekend of my life. I think with regards to his personal affairs he's a bit of a trainwreck but i still enjoy the videos he makes.

I am not saying that what he did was correct with this "rape" joke but the recipient seemed not to really care that much and wasn't even involved with the huge shitstorm.

What i've heard differs in that it wasn't all Spoonys fans who he blew up at. It was ObscuraLupa who got upset about the rape joke and sent her "goons" to troll Spoonys twitter. Fuck shes been being a whiny fuck about it in her videos as well as on her channel yet the fact is she wasn't disciplined or fired or anything of the sort.

Then there was some shit with LordKat who got mad at Spoony cause he didn't get an interview at some conference because of him and proceeded to shitstorm over it - did he get disciplined?....no.

I really can't see how one reviewer getting their fans to troll another one is acceptable or being a whiney baby from those two either was acceptable and not suspension worthy.

I must stress i don't feel Spoonys actions were justifiable. Like he can get mad if he wants, he's a human being and he is allowed to convey said emotions. He can whine on his own twitter if he wants. Yeah his whining about his ex is pretty pathetic - on saying that i am pretty sure she was involved as well in making hateful comments towards Spoony as well on twitter. I am not sure why he got pissed at his own fans trying to help him - apparently hes bipolar now or some shit. You can never get the full picture with these things.

...and honestly i feel that the loss of Spoony is a huge blow to the site. People here say he is pretty shit well have you see the other members of TGWTG? Most of them (90%) are fucking terrible, apparently people who were discussing the banning of Spoony in the forums were permabanned as well in response to this whole debacle.

The whole thing is a fucking mess and i know Spoony is doing his own thing now - he made his best stuff when he did his own thing too and as for his personal circumstances i am not really too bothered unless it goes into his videos - like he starts calling people faggots on camera or something.

I agree, 90% are terrible and should also be fired. I think what's best at this point is if Spoony live streams his suicide. That way I can say Spoony finally made a video I liked.
