Leland P. Cook Jr. passed away on Nov. 6 at the age of 75.

For those not familiar with him, Leland was the founder of Tradewest. Yes, that Tradewest. The one that made Battletoads. I need not say more.

Virginia Davis, the star of the 1923 short film Alice's Wonderland and the following Alice Comedies series, died in August at age 90.

The Alice series, which mixed live action segments and animation, were Walt Disney's first Hollywood-based project, and their success would fuel Disney's ascension. The Alice series was also the start of Disney's short-lived business partnership with Charles Mintz, the man who would ultimately steal Disney's character Oswald The Lucky Rabbit and most of his animation staff, which lead Disney and friend Ub Iwerks, now without a flagship character, to create Mickey Mouse.

not really a celeb, but another rich old dead dude:

Roy E. Disney, the nephew of the late Walt Disney and a longtime senior executive for the Walt Disney Company, died Wednesday morning, sources confirm to Zap2it. He was 79.

I heard off a radio station that his wife and him were fighting. She got in her truck and left and he jumped in the back

Dan O'Bannon, on the 17th. Brought us such great gems as the original script for Alien and Return of the Living Dead (great film). He will be sorely missed.

That absolutely sucks. Brittany Murphy was one of my most favorite actresses, and the Ramen Girl is probably one of the best rom/coms I've ever seen.

On top of that, it just makes me nervous when people close to my age die young. Like Heath Ledger. I think he was only a year older than me.

Not only is that not right, that's not even wrong. It's a meaningless statement. Saying something is "one molecule away" from plastic is like saying a farm is one letter away from a fart. Water is "one molecule away" from being explosive hydrogen gas.
