Resurrecting this thread for the purpose of sharing the project I completed tonight... a freakin' gigantic Char's Zaku II. Those of you who frequent the chatroom know I've been working on this thing for around three weeks now. The rest of you... well, you should frequent the chatroom more... frequently.
I didn't take too many pics while building it, but here's the few I did...
The legs and head done, dunno why I decided to build the head first...
There's the body completed, and you can see a lot of time had passed, there's the first snowfall of the season outside the window. And now for lots of pics of the completed model...
It's harder to see in the first four pics there, but it's very apparent in the last pic how much he leans forwards (mostly due to how hard it was to attach the legs and keep them in place). The gun actually isn't glued into place, and I had planned on taking a pic or two without it, but I'm not entirely sure what I did that got it into the hand without any fingers ripping off, so I'm not about to tempt fate by removing it.
Overall, I'm very pleased with how it turned out... though, I think it'll be quite sometime before I pick up the scissors and glue bottle again.

In my Star Trek file collection I have a bunch of papercraft. Stuff like ships, props and characters.

I fukken LOVE papercraft. It's a shame I haven't had a printer working for years. I really enjoy building this stuff, and I can remember trying to make a papercraft Chao from Sonic Adventure.

That looks great Fernin! I've been working on a stupid turtle for months now. I just can't seem to find the time, so a big model like that is pretty impressive.

Wow that's sweet! Are they hollow? You should try mass producing them and selling them as awesome pinatas!

Great job!
Though, it might just be my own preference, but I like the Metal Gear Rex in the background even more.

He featured that one earlier. Even though i've never said it before.. You do.. do some great work. I don't think i'd ever have the patience for such a task , It would be interesting desiging a model though, and dotting the paper for where the folds should go. I'm interested in the how they notate for the degree of the fold. I imagine the peice of paper will have fold lines, but is it just meant to be obvious to you as you build the model how much you should the paper along the lines, or is there like a small number or symbol by the fold line generally used?

Another bump, this project had to be shared.
LEGO Man 1
LEGO Man 2
LEGO Man 3
Dunno if I screwed up on building it, or the fact that I printed it at a different size than it's supposed to be, but the helmet doesn't fit over the head. Other than that, and the joints being a little bit looser than I'd like, it turned out great.
