GPFontaine: Not where I live. When they used to exist they were shit theaters with crappy projection, sound, and seating.

GPFontaine: The fuck they have. I have been to 4 movies over the last two years, every fucking one had some asshole with a retarded ring and at least 2 others who were texting with their ultrabright nightlight screens.

Usually kids or ethnics and that depends when you go and see it and what part of town
GPFontaine: The rich theaters don't have this problem as often, but 3 out of the 4 last movies I have seen have been plagued by these ghouls.

6. Requires travel to get to

True, but so does going to the local Blockbuster
GPFontaine: Local video stores are closer for me and I would imagine this is true for most people. Theaters aren't as abundant as rental stores.

7. Good seat not guaranteed

Opening weekend, never, but if you go to the pre 7 and 10 showing you can usually get a good one
GPFontaine: Guaranteed means guaranteed, not MOSTLY guaranteed.
Ermac-It just depends on what movie is coming out and how big a franchise the movie is
8. Lines to get tickets
Ermac:
longest i have ever had to wait for tickets was like 10 minutes, and that was a theater that just opened, edit i waited 30 for episode III
GPFontaine: Dude, where the fuck do you live that you don't have these problems? East bumblefuck? I live in the north east, I was in Boston and now am in Central Connecticut. There are line on Friday Night, Saturday, Saturday Night, and Sunday.

9. Mandatory previews

That part of the fun of going to the movies 
GPFontaine: Some of them. I hate horror movies and I really hate seeing previews for them. If I am not in a horror movie, I don't want to see previews for one.
Ermac-Does it really annoy you that bad, usually my friends like to say "ah that movie aint going to make shit, or that movie is stupid" and make sly remarks like that
10. Very full or busy parking lot

yeah, but not like at a sporting event
GPFontaine: How often do you go to sporting events? When I lived in Boston I would take public transportation and be crowded like a sardine in the train. Worse, when I was just moving around the city, the sporting events would cause mad rushes to the trains even if I wasn't attending the game. Still... this has nothing to do with a movie. When I go to a movie on the weekend the parking lot is crowded. I'm not saying it is a complete deterrent, but it is not fun.

11. No pause button

yeah, sometimes your gottta pee and you miss a good scene
GPFontaine: Sometimes you have to slap the shit out of some kid who was talking during a good scene and you wish to god you had a rewind button for that climactic scene you just had ruined. Or you have to pee.
Ermac- I have gotten to the point where I can pee and be back in 3 minutes tops
12. Can't watch in just your underwear

true, but who does that unless they are home sick?
GPFontaine: Me. I am not homesick. I live at home with my wife. Watching movies in underwear is awesome. If you haven't done it, I suggest it. It is fucking sweet.

13. Dick in a popcorn box won't get you arrested at home

I have taken dates to the second run show and been in the back getting a blowjob and I have nevr had any issues
GPFontaine: I have actually never had any form of sexual encounter in a theater. Thank god. There is nothing about that type of situation that turns me on. When I go to a movie I want to see, I want sexy time before it or after it, not during.

GPFontaine: Bullshit. There have been tons of great movies that have come out over the last decade. Just because there are a ton of shit ones doesn't mean that the good movies aren't there. The Lord of the Rings movies really let you down? Really?
