I'm going to argue that +M isn't really needed anymore, at least on a permanent level.

1) The problem that we are having with name-stealers is only really limited to one person, and that's the person who needs to be told to cut the shit. Not the rest of us.

2) Everyone has registered by now anyways.

3) Any copycat names we really don't want people to use can be added to the ban list.

4) While it makes people easier to ban from the room, any real issues we have with people can be dealt with by a temporary switch to +M or +m mode.

5) It prevents ANY sort of feasable nickname changes. Which takes away a lot of the fun.

6) It's very unfriendly to new people.

It's a great tool we can use to deal with problems, but I don't think it needs to be a permanent feature of the room. There's generally an op in the room at trouble times anyways.
