Oh my god, you don't even know dude. Jeebus takes literal 20 minute turns doing nine hundred different things and by the end of it, you have no permanents, no hand, no life, etc. Like, you'll play Wrath of God and by the time Jeebus lets it resolve, you'll be worse off than you were before.

Dayum...I need to find some strategy I could use to counter this in my copy of MicroProse's MTG. Jeebus, you should send me a list of cards you use to pull this off.

In all fairness, most of my turns aren't that long, and Zarak took a 20 minute turn Tuesday as well.
In terms of cheap though, the game is for fun and all of my decks are designed with fun themes in mind except one (My multiplayer decks include an elf deck, dragon deck, morph deck, all foil deck with absolutely no coherant card theme, coin flip deck, Serra Avatar/life gain deck, and copy/steal deck, though that one is more fun for me than anyone else, I suppose). However, I do like to win at least occasionally, so I have a really cheap deck for when I haven't won in a while that, if I get really lucky, can kill about 6 people on my second turn.

I remember my parents spending dozens upon dozens of dollars on pokemon cards for me, yet I really only got two rare cards: a Holographic Dark Golbat, and a Holographic Zapdos.

My foil Chansey card from Base 2 Pokemon series and my first edition foil Blissey. Chansey and Blissey are my favorite Pokemon.
When I worked at a local toy store from 1998-2001 we started carrying Pokemon cards in 1999 and people would always ask if the packs had foil/holofoil cards in them. I'd be like "You get one rare card per pack but it is not guaranteed to be foil/holofoil."

Yeah, yeah, I'll be impressed when you open a foil Malfegor. Which I'm sure you won't trade out of spite...

Well this set is small so I'm building the foil one anwyay. Also, the foil Path to Exile (new StP) is worth more than any of the non-foil rares in the set.
Oh yeah, and it was in the very last pack I opened, which also had Nicol Bolas in it.

The only thing I have of Magic, is a pre-made deck I bought to battle my friends which was Red/Black with a bunch of Ogres and Demons. I have a crapload of Yu-Gi-Oh cards though...

I hate you...
Also, on topic...
We were discussing this last night and I'd like to add my Italian Sliver Legion and Italian Tarox Bladewing to my list, as well as my small grouping of foreign foil slivers; Fury (Russian), Vampiric (also Russian), Gemhide (Japanese) and non-foil but foreign and misprinted Japanese Winged (it's costed at two colorless and one blue instead of one colorless and one blue.)

Really? I got a Klingon Black Lotus! BEAT THAT!
...
OK, on a more serious note, the only foreign game card I had was a Japanese Rocket Arbok from Pokemon if I remember correctly.

Hey, foreign cards aren't hard to find; I got most of mine from just going to prereleases and buying from vendors.
Also, I forgot my totally awesome German Dark Ritual

They're not my most prized cards, but I thought this was pretty cool:
I had 12 packs of Conflux, all from the same box. Two seperate packs had both a foil rare and a mythic rare in them (Though none of the stuff was especially great, but both mythics were ones I wanted). And of course, since I was lucky enough for that to happen, I had to be unlucky enough to pull not 1, not 2, but all 3 different rare scepters. I fucking hate those things.

You know, you COULD start a new topic instead of trying to hijack the "most prized card" thread and turn it into "Whatever Jeebus happened to open today" thread.

When I was younger and collected Yu Gi Oh cards, I was visiting relatives and there 7-11 must have had the last couple unopened packs left on earth of the very first North American series and I got the Polymophorization which no one had but was needed to use most of the good monsters, Red Eyes Black Dragon wich was gold lettering and holographic image which was thought to be the toughest of as far as rarity but each series had one or 2 cards that were sparkly holo with the lettering and I got some knight that rides a bone dragon and then got another one of those uber rare cards in another edition.
Fucked if I know if they're worth the cardboard they're printed on and fucked if I know where they are, but they used to be cool.

$350? I'm gonna go ahead and call shenanigans on that one. I have an Opee-chee Patrick Roy RC and I'm pretty sure it's worth just about half of that....and we're talking Patty"the Greatest goalie of all-time"Roy here and not Mike "I have only been in the league 4 years" Richards.

Oh, I forgot... my 4 Alpha Orcish Oriflammes.
You have to be a hardcore MTG fan to appreciate their awesomeness, but trust me, they're badass.

Yeah...+1/+0 for all your creatures at a very low mana cost is awesome.

Go to your local card store and pick up the newest Beckett. You'd have to understand the current card industry to know why it's worth that much. It's signed has a piece of patch off his jersey on it and there are 199 copies of it. It's his highest end RC, the Crosby from the set is numbered to 99(the lowest amount of copies a card can have and still be considered a rookie card) auto and patch books at over $10,000.
I forget what your Roy books at but there were a lot more printed then, now the RC's are significantly shorter printed.
BV is just BV though, realistically I would probably get 250-300$ for the Richards and 200 or so for the Crosby.

Yeah I haven't picked up a Beckett in ages. I have a fairly decent card collection so I wouldn't mind checking it out again. I thought the hockey card industry was fairly dead a while ago and therefore figured the cards today weren't worth near as much as they were back in the 80's and 90's.
