Cool, it's pretty awesome that it's possible to make these sort of things. The portables however seem a little too chunky to carry around anywhere outside but they're still great to use around inside.

This thing would make more sense if it had a SMS, Genesis, Nes, and SNES. Atari seems out of place here. Weren't the newer versions of Atari (the 7200 or whatever, i don't know b/c i've never had an atari) backwards compatible with the older? Otherwise, it is a genuinely cool idea that could be marketable if the casing wasn't ugly as shit.

Of course that thing has to be pimped up.
But the concept is awesome. I think it should have NES, SNES, Genesis and MAME. It would be genious if you could get an USB pen in there with a couple of MAME games and play them on your TV.

Someday, when I can save up about $600, I still plan to build my own Tabletop style arcade box.

(Think of the 25 cent game machines you see at bars, that have triva quizes and shit on them.)

It would be that size, have a built in LCD monitor, a X-Arcade 2 player controller attached to it, and custom ports for SNES, GENESIS, and PS1&2 controllers on it. ANd, it would contain every piece of emulation software I own in it. (Atari 2600 ---> MAME)

I have the whole thing designed, I just need the money for the parts.

I would like to build a full sized mame cabinet type of deal, and then mostly use it to play mugen.

I don't think my roommate would let me though.
