I'm indifferent. On one hand, it's solid in most areas. It's just its reputation as being completely awesome that irks me. I've been playing FPS's religiously since our family got a free copy of Doom II with our first computer, and since then I've experienced many games that have better atmosphere, gameplay, and story than the Halo series. There certainly should are better shooters that should be headlining the genre or brought to more attention to the public, but Halo is by no means bad.
